023 - Summer Tour Sampler
It's July, the Summer heat is here to stay and there's no better time to be on the road. In this episode, we head out on the road to check in with Dead & Company and Phil Lesh. Both bands are doing some great things on stages all over the place so I've pulled a couple great jams to either cool down or heat up your listening space. These jams can do both. After that, we reach into the vault for some good old Grateful Dead.

018 - 50, 40, & 30 Years Ago
I put together a little mix to go along with the first open-window days of the season. Plus, I did promise you kind and patient listeners a shot of good old Grateful Dead. This mix reaches back 50, 40, and 30 years to 1968, '78, and '88 for material. The tracks range from jams to cowboy songs and it hangs together despite the disparate eras represented.

017 - Golden Gate Wingmen
We've got a special and unusual episode for you this time around. I had the great fortune to join my good friend and head of Osiris, RJ Bee, at a Golden Gate Wingmen show late last month. The show, at The Hamilton Live, was the kick-off for a short tour and it was a blast. To make things even more exciting, we got to meet and interview the band. Jeff Chimenti (keys, vocals), John Kadlecik (guitar, vocals), Jay Lane (drums, vocals), and Reed Mathis (bass, vocals) were friendly, forthcoming, and entertaining. After the interview, listen to selections from the show.

014 - Playing In The Band
Although the men in the top hats have disturbed the groundhogs, hibernation isn't quite over so we have a one-part episode this month. Here's hoping the hot jams warm your home. This go round, I'm dusting off a mix that I assembled several years back that amounts to a fairly epic survey of the song Playing In The Band. In true Grateful Dead fashion, this jam covers a lot of ground and should not disappoint. The full breakdown of included clips is listed below.

Andy is back once more and we've a whole new batch of tracks and venues to discuss. This being set two, things get a little more loose and a lot weirder-- Just the way I like them. Thanks again to Andy, for coming on and bringing his wealth of Grateful Dead knowledge along with his sense of humor.  And thanks to you, kind listeners, for checking out the show.

006 - Happy Birthday, Jerry
August marks Jerry Garcia's 75th birthday and so, on the Brokedown Podcast, we're celebrating. This month we've put together to mixed sets of music spanning the 60's, 70's, and the 80's. Tracks run from acoustic to very electric and all points in between. So open up the windows and crank the speakers. Light a candle and crack a smile because Jerry's Birthday is a time to celebrate, not mourn. We hope you enjoy this little sampler of the treasures Jerry and the Grateful Dead gave to us over the years.

005 - Grateful Americana
This month on the Brokedown Podcast we take a look at the Grateful Dead's lyrical Americana. More an overview than a deep-dive, we're going to cover a fair bit of ground like a freight with a good signal and a head of steam. The music is broken into two sets of great live music, with discussion before and after each. So fire this up along with the backyard barbecue and have yourself a real good time. We hope you enjoy this fifth episode and tell a friend to check us out.
