The Marvelous Moms Club is one of inclusion and connection. This is a space where you'll be not only allowed, but encouraged to dream big dreams, imagine the very best future for yourself and your family, and do so without perfection or criticism. We're throwing away expectations- from ourselves, from society and from all the influences that can hold back the raw authenticity that makes us truly marvelous. We are lifting up our children and the women within the reach of our influence- to be thought leaders, brave souls and colorful personalities to enhance the lives of everyone around us. Through honest reflection, purposeful action and crazy amounts of ambition and LOVE we are embracing the gift and glory of motherhood, by showing every woman in the human race- that she is marvelous beyond measure!

Being Uncomfortable is NOT Always BAD!

My the thoughts we think that can run away with us being drug behind like a jockey in a bad horse race! Today I had a stream of consciousness that was so destructive and I'm sharing a bit about it on the podcast! We ARE the habits we take part in every day. Changing for the better might feel "wrong" for a bit, but only because it's not familiar! Keep going even if it's not comfy.

There's No Wrong and Right!

Yikes, ever had a life lesson hit you like a bag full of bricks on a slow Sunday morning? That's what happened this past weekend as I FINALLY got something that life has been trying to tell me for- well, forever.

We know murder is wrong. We know chocolate is good. But actually, chocolate is not good for everyone and not everyone even likes it. So in that regard, very few things are universally "wrong" and "right". Taking the moral approach out of it and down to a sense of wondering if there is a right or wrong way to build our lives, we can quickly see that we have been following a set of rules that do not apply and are actually holding us back from creating the lives we want!

Late with Kate and Kirsten

Today's episode is originally from my short-lived podcast, The Kirsten Tyrrel podcast.. may it rest in peace. I had some fantastic interviews on that show that you may have missed if you didn't subscribe to it! Today's is with a dear friend, Kate Call. We chat (ok we mostly giggle) about all things life, entrepreneurship and the journey to success.

If you've ever chased a big dream or even realized the fulfillment of a goal, only to realize you may want something different... tune in!

Why You Shouldn't WAIT For the Perfect Time

This is a subject I could talk about for days, weeks, months and well- forever. I have always been an action taker and know that life is short and wonderful, and I don't want to look back and have regrets. On today's episode I am ranting with you about how silly it is that we wait so long, and put off the big dreams and goals we have for ourselves! There are parts of my life that I have held out sharing- thinking I couldn't be ALL of these things. And now I look into the past wondering WHAT IF I HAD JUST KEPT GOING?

I started out doing a daily IGTV every day this year. And I stopped because I was overwhelmed by how I would keep up with it. Could I create every day? What if I didn't want to? And here I am a month later, wishing I had never stopped. I'd be so much further in my journey if I had created daily content!

I give some tips on how to avoid this rut, so tune in!

It's MARVELOUS with Kirsten Tyrrel

You may notice some changes here for the show! What once was Marvelous Moms Club is now simply, Marvelous with Kirsten Tyrrel. After many months-- ok YEARS of soul searching with this show, I realized it wasn't about the motherhood component of life that I was speaking to. It was to the ENTIRE woman and how powerful I know we all are! I almost ended this show forever, but I decided to transition it into something I think it was always meant to be! So subscribe if you haven't yet, and get ready to feel freakin' marvelous after you listen to every episode!

Today's episode is with the lovely Nikki Elledge Brown, who describes herself as "a self-proclaimed word nerd, military spouse, former park ranger, college professor, and mom of two, known online for her quirky-yet-super-practical teaching style and refreshingly honest reflections on the realities of parenthood + entrepreneurship."

EP 244: How My Mom Helped Me Become a Teenage Entrepreneur

Today's episode is one that was originally going to air on the podcast "Full Time Family"- a whim I had months ago. I decided to instead present it as a series here within Marvelous Moms to keep all the great content in one easy to find place!

This episode is also different than any we've had so far. The reason for that is because we have a mom AND a daughter talking with us!

Do you remember Alison Prince from episode 202? She's back today and has her daughter Makayla telling her side of the story. I love hearing this different perspective. It's always been the moms talking about their kids with no input from the other side, so this was fun!

We talked about a bunch of things, including:

  • An ultimatum from mom
  • Selling $100,000 in nine months
  • Knowing what you want to do with your life
  • Understanding the value of money at a young age
  • Freedom to choose any path you want
  • Creating her OWN COURSE!

I hope you enjoy listening to this fun chat between mother and daughter (and me!)

EP 243: How To Work From Home With Your Husband with Corrine Stokoe

Today I have another episode that was originally going to air on the podcast "Full Time Family"- a whim I had months ago. I decided to instead present it as a series here within Marvelous Moms to keep all the great content in one easy to find place!

I had Corrine on the podcast YEARS ago, she was on episode 73 which you can find in the links below. It's so fun to go back and talk to former guests again and see where they're at now. If you don't remember Corrine, she's the creator of Mint Arrow! Be sure to check out those links below as well. And of course, listen to this episode because that's one of the main things we're talking about.

So, what exactly did we talk about today?

  • Following the Spirit for decisions big and small (God/intuition/whatever higher power you believe in!)
  • Knowing when you need extra help with your business
  • How to integrate family life with being a work-at-home couple
  • Including your kids in your business
  • and much more!

I want to hear from YOU my friend! Let's chat about this over on Instagram- @kirstentyrrel You can tag me or post and use #marvelousmomsclub so we can keep the conversation going.

EP 239: Five Minute Domino Effect

The other day during "chore time" my kids decided instead of taking 5 minutes to do something, they'd take 3 hours. This opened up the doors for a math lesson, a time management lesson, and even brought out the dominos for an object lesson in cause and effect! Listen in for five minutes to see how THESE five minutes changed their minds about chores!

EP 238: Singing Again!

Hey moms! Today is a BONUS episode- intended to be a Five Minute Friday but I had a LOT to say. This episode was recorded after a few others that are coming in the very near future- and you can FEEL the energy shift in my voice.

And my voice is the exact topic of conversation today. I had a really amazing experience in Florida last month and wanted to share it publicly. And this is just one of many wonderful moments- but it was life changing and I never want to forget it!

EP 237: Full Time Family Series- Kindle Garner

Today's episode is one that was originally going to air on the podcast "Full Time Family"- a whim I had months ago. I decided to instead present it as a series here within Marvelous Moms to keep all the great content in one easy to find place!

Kindle is my inspiration for the homeschool life we are living right now. She is THE person to follow and learn from if you are toying around with the idea, or need some empowerment as a homeschool mom.

We covered a LOT of ground here and got pretty deep into our beliefs about the school system and why we are not just homeschooling to combat what we see are the FLAWS, but rather the beauty that we are finding and the positives in schooling our children from home. You may not know this- but all homeschool parents get asked the same basic questions and are met with the same reactions from parents who do not homeschool.

I asked Kindle to debunk or demystify three of those main things we get asked about or the assumptions people make- and her answers were fantastic.

Nov 11, 2019
EP 236: The Beauty-ful Circle

It's a Five Minute Friday yo! Today I'm talking (rather ranting and rambling) about my journey through self esteem, and how I went from a lazy teen to a self aware adult. I'm finally realizing now- how beauty isn't about the makeup, the clothes or the hair. It's about your light- who you are and really just BEING yourself. Cliche? Yep. But I'm ok with it- and I hope you glean something from this short episode!

Nov 08, 2019
EP 235: Healthy Hustle with Renee Schreibman

Today I have my friend Renee on the podcast. She is FULL of said inspiration and she is marvelous to listen to.

Here are some things we talked about:

  • When she started thriving and wanted to share it with everyone else

  • Going from nothing to six figures in ten months!!
  • Life on social media
  • Making a difference in the lives of others
  • Much more!

I say that because Angie gives some really good parenting advice I hadn't thought of before! And, she also has found a way to use her passions to help others. Angie used to be a teacher. Now, instead of reaching just 22 students in a classroom, she reaches the lives of thousands!

EP 228: Big Dreams are Worth Waiting For

Today I'm sharing about something super exciting that we are doing as a family, something I have been dreaming of for over 10 years!

That led me to think- how many of our dreams do we give up on when they haven't happened in a year, or even a few months?

Did you know it took Michelangelo 4 years to complete the Sistine Chapel? The coliseum took 10 years to finish, the leaning tower of Pisa took 199 years to be completed...

So, are you giving your big dreams long enough to come true?

EP 207: The Elevator Experience

Jocelyn McClellan is on the podcast today! She is so awesome you guys. You might know her as "Fit Mission Makeup", because she's super into fitness and makeup!

Today we're talking about how we KNOW that you know that you can do hard things! Deep down, you know it's true. But what are two of the biggest things that get in your way? Fear and excuses. We're afraid of failing. We have a never-ending list of excuses for why we "can't" do something. Both of these things - fear and excuses - are completely self-imposed!

Oh hey, don't you dare ever say you can't do something "because I'm a mom." Not sure exactly what I'm saying? Tune in and you won't be using that phrase negatively anymore!

EP 205: Creating Magic in Motherhood

Listen, we all think magic is something that happens when you wish upon a star, or requires large grandiose efforts. But what I'm discovering the longer I raise kids and reflect on my own childhood, is that magic is in the moments that create the memories! It doesn't require big trips to Disneyland, or a perfectly crafted adventure; it is many times just in the feelings and simple elements we can't even plan for!

EP 153: VIbrant and Happy with Jen Riday

Jen Riday is the host of a podcast called Vibrant Happy Women, and she is the epitome of that name!

Ladies, be aware that major creative and special sparks flew during this episode. The synergy that can happen on a podcast interview is kind of amazing. I LOVED Jen when she interviewed me on her podcast, and loved her even more when I had the chance to chat with her for an episode of MY podcast! She is a remarkable insightful woman and you would be smart to follow her podcast as well as this one.

We talked a lot about motherhood and how imperative it is that we create joy in the center of our homes. I LOVED how she compared mothers to the sun, with planets- our kids and spouses- orbiting around us, and how if we are happy it effects that orbit and energy. It's the phrase, happy wife happy life, right? But a lot more spectacular than that.

The best thing that happened on this episode was the validation of how IMPORTANT it is to take care of myself before I can take care of my family. Following my dreams, passions and desires only makes me better, it doesn't take away that love I have for my children!

Meditation is something I have been thinking about, as well as this craving for yoga, and Jen brought all of it right to me with her belief that an hour of yoga is as good as weekend away.

Thank you Jen for having such a great conversation with me, sharing your insight as a mother of 6 children and proponent of happiness and vibrance!

EP 152: An Order of Mommy with Lyme on the Side with Aimee Dial

If you had told me back then that we'd get to connect as adults and be friends like we are now I wouldn't have believed you! Aimee and I had very different life situations back then, but it's amazing how motherhood and just adulthood in general can bring you together.

Aimee reached out to me months ago to see if it would be a good idea to share a bit of her story and her life with my audience- and I immediately knew it was an important episode to share. Aimee suffers from Lyme disease and is one of countless people who endure chronic illnesses. It completely changes the flow and expectations of her motherhood and life. I am so honored to share her perspective with those of you who I KNOW need her message!

Listen in and share with a friend who needs to hear this!
Thanks Aimee for being brave!

EP 147: Eating Clean and Cooking Dirty with Samantha Rodgers

Hey everyone! Today is a great one for all you foodies or moms wanting a little reset on your eating routine. I love Sam's tag line- you can't eat clean without getting dirty!

If you think about it, most convenient food isn't messy. We gravitate to fast food and easy meals to prevent further work in the kitchen. Raise your hand if you've ever ordered in just because you CANNOT do another dish. My hand is up.

I love stories that include someone finding silver lining in a hard situation. Sam had major digestive issues for most of her life, and as she got to the bottom of what was causing it, she developed a way to eat. And it hasn't only benefited her, but those around her and anyone who wants to take advantage of her research and planning!

Tune in to listen to more and get started with Sam's meal planning subscription to help you make meal time healthy and easy!

EP 146: Piece of Cake with Beth Walburger

Beth is one of my favorite people, who I met on....yep, you guessed it- Periscope! I owe my entire life as it exists now to that amazing platform!

Beth and I met in real life less than a year ago at a blogger conference and I kind of wanted to stick to her like glue. She was the real deal, a salt of the earth honest to goodness person. I admired her and everything she stood for- and still do!

What I first knew about Beth was her incredible cake making skills. She'd prop us up in her kitchen as she live streamed while baking and mixing and frosting all kind of treats. She also shared stories about her kids, her challenges and her testimony of God and her faith. I am honored to be able to share in even more depth, her story that has touched my life.

This is truly one of the most marvelous moms I know and I'm so proud to call her my friend!

Thank you Beth for being brave enough to share it all and inspire so many with your words!

EP 145: The Sanctification of Motherhood with Melanie Burk

Melanie is one of those girls who you talk to an instantly feel at ease. She gets motherhood- you know? Really gets it. She is so fun to follow on Instagram because she has these adorable perfect dimples, and four kids who are just as cute! She and I chatted a lot about motherhood and what it looks like today. The expectations, the highs and lows, all of it. She sees this journey for what it is- a sanctifying process that really makes us amazing. She also shares how she's realized the power of magnifying and sharing our talents- not only for our children but for ourselves. As we continue to grow as women, we have so much to share and offer to our children and to the world. I loved everything about this episode, and am so happy to share it with you all!

EP 144: From Milk to Millions with PJ Jonas of Goat Milk Stuff

PJ is the mother of 8 children that are all homeschooled and help run the family business. They work on a goat farm that produces amazing products from the goat milk they have in excess. PJ transitioned to a natural and organic life for her kids and wanted to feed raw goat milk to her children.  The very act of having the animals added to their homeschool experience and family environment. Realizing the goat milk could be used for more than just consumption, PJ started down a path that has completely changed her life!

What began as having a few dairy goats turned into a full fledged million dollar business that ships goat milk based products all over the country!

I loved how she talked about opportunity cost and the value of doing things you should be doing can sacrifice time spent on something actually worthwhile or beneficial! So many nuggets of info here, and that was one that especially stood out.

Listen to her episode to hear the whole story! It was so great to chat with PJ about her life. She was kind enough to offer a free soap for all my listeners! Head to GOAT MILK STUFF  to get yours!

Thank you PJ for being a marvelous mom and for sharing your story with all of us! It was so inspiring and fun to listen to!

EP 143: A Little Switcheroo

Today you're going to hear a slightly different episode! I let the amazing Whippycake (remember her from episode 79?) interview ME on the podcast!

In honor of International Women's Day I was really excited to share more about my own story as a mompreneur business owner! I love sharing stories of my guests and have been asked a lot lately to share more of my own background and what a day in the life is like for me!

So sit back and relax and enjoy the fun twist on today's episode! Thank you Whippy for being an amazing host!!

EP 142: Bucket List Goals with Jessica Gee

Have I mentioned before how excited I am to have the means and time to travel the world? We're getting closer every day, and talking to people who are actually doing it keeps my fire lit!

I had the chance to sit down with Jessica Gee from The Bucket List Family months ago while she was in Turkey! I was so pleasantly surprised to see how normal she and her family are, in spite of their extraordinary lifestyle!

I was so inspired by Jessica and her family, as well as so impressed about how they spread their happiness with others. They are such a service oriented family and are spreading goodness all around the globe. Jessica and I talked about what it has been like traveling the world with two young children, and what she's looking forward to when they take a break from their travels.

Thank you for taking time between ocean dives and safaris to chat with me Jessica! It was so fun!

EP 141: Bring on the Rain!

Today's episode is all me, your host, Kirsten (you know me, right?) sending my voice into cyberspace for you to listen. I'm sharing some pretty personal stuff about what life is looking like for me right now and how so many bumps and bruises have led me to a GLORIOUS rainfall! I used to hate rain...ok I still kind of hate rain. I'm a summer soul, born in June and I love the sunshine. Gloomy skies mean gloomy moods for me. So thankfully the rain I'm speaking of is hypothetical, and the best type of rain anyone can hope for. The rain of abundance. After spending a year working harder than I've ever worked, I am reaping some amazing rewards and I wanted to share that with you!

It's only fair to get to hear the good stuff, after sharing some of the struggle along the way, right?

I don't know that I've ever talked this long on my own without a guest, so I hope it proves how much I had in my heart to share! I've tried to record this a few times and today it flowed freely.

So enjoy, find some inspiration (I hope) and peace, knowing that all hard work pays off!

Have a marvelous day!

EP 140: A Slice of Joy with Jenica Parcell

To say this episode is long overdue is an understatement-- we recorded it last summer! Jenica and I met at the Elevate bloggers conference and I adored her story, her baby bump and everything about her positive attitude. I asked her then and there to be on the podcast...only to find out she was already booked as a guest! Apparently someone had already referred her to me and we had jumped at the opportunity to chat with her! Even after all that over-preparation we still got behind airing her episode since I wanted to chat with her AFTER her twins were born. Between both of our crazy lives it took months and months to happen. But I know you'll love her story even if it has been a while since she first told it to me!

Jenica went through three rounds of IVF before finally conceiving her twins, Goldie and Harris. She shares the heartbreak and how she got through those staggering times. I think you'll be inspired by her perspective, whether you've experienced her exact trial or not!

Listen and enjoy and share this episode with anyone needing a little pick me up who might be going through the same thing!

Thank you Jenica for sharing your story with us!

EP 139: Finding Rhythm with Wendy Cunningham

I promise you don't have to have the name Wendy to be a part of this awesome book!

Wendy really helped me gain some serious, needed perspective with my life when we chatted. I'm telling you ladies, I have the BEST job ever!

I was in a place of feeling so incredibly unbalanced with my life. I still feel that way now, but the coolest thing I learned from Wendy is that there is more of a rhythm that happens in life, rather than a perfect balance. The rhythm will change daily, weekly, monthly etc. but as long as we are aware of that we can really feel more balanced! In her words:

"I don't believe in balance. I think we find rhythm in work and family, but never balance, and that's okay. Most of us work full time jobs, and give our family the left overs. That's not balance. Or we become obsessed with our family, and are not able to do well, or enjoy our work- that's not balance either. When we can find a way to love what we're doing, and when we can feel that it is important and making a difference, we're able to be PRESENT in what we're doing, when we're doing it. Rhythm happens when you can be fully present with your family when you're with them, and then fully present with your work, when you're working. Finding rhythm makes seeking balance irrelevant."

Go listen to the rest of our chat to learn more about Wendy and the failures that have led her to success! It's a good one! I mean...aren't they all? I have the most marvelous moms on this podcast!

EP 138: Healthy Hustlin with Shelly Robinson

Can we all just state the obvious- that I'm the LUCKIEST girl in the world to get to chat with amazing women who also enrich my life with information?

Shelly gave me such an incredible gift a few months ago when she did a health coaching call with me. It was right after that I decided to just get my act together and get my thyroid checked. Since I did have some irregularity it changed my whole life to be able to get the medication I needed to take the right steps towards overall health.

Shelly is so easy to talk to and listen to and I know you'll enjoy today's episode with her! Thank you Shelly!

Keep up with her here:

EP 137: The Parent Gap with Randi Rubenstein

Randi came into my life at a time when I needed her most. Being a busy mompreneur comes at a cost and I had just started homeschooling my oldest son. I was overwhelmed, discouraged and had no idea how to even begin to create the family of my dreams with all these new circumstances!

Soon after our chat on the podcast I was able to take Randi's parenting course and it was AMAZING. Not only was the content informative and broken down into bite sized pieces busy moms can handle, her coaching calls were SO helpful.

Randi has this ability to see things in a different way than you might see them and can really help you dissect every issue you are facing to help you feel like you can conquer your shortcomings and obstacles. Her course will open up again soon, and in the meantime you should definitely check out her coaching!

Thanks Randi for sharing your knowledge and love on the podcast!

EP 136: Defining My Own Future with Wendy Starling Gardiner

This one was INCREDIBLE to me. So many mothers and stories have come to me on this podcast but none really like this one. We all face extreme obstacles sometimes, and this is a case where those obstacles might have seemed completely insurmountable. Considering how strong the clutches of addiction are- I consider it a miracle when anyone escapes and can create an amazing life. This is a must listen! To hear more from Wendy you can grab a copy of the book- Success Through Failing or attend the summit!

Thank you Wendy for bravely sharing your story, I know it uplifted me and opened my eyes so much!

EP 135: Owning and Thriving with Rochelle Bohannon

Rochelle is the mom of two ADORABLE kids- and there's proof in the photo- am I right? But she wasn't always so certain she'd be able to become a mother! Today we're talking about her mystery illness, what she is doing with her message now and how she balances work and motherhood!

EP 134: The Purposeful Housewife- Allie Cassazza

The internet is amazing friends- it makes it possible to make friends literally ANYWHERE in the world. And I didn't need to look far to find Allie- she's raising an adorable family in Arkansas, and I only stumbled upon her thanks to a blog post of hers that went viral recently. You've probably heard about her, or read about her rather. She solved every moms problem with her article, and I felt all the good feelings while chatting with her! I was literally thinking to myself the other day how much I hate picking up after my kids. How I know they can learn to pick up after themselves and it's an every day battle- but in the mean time I'm stuck doing it.  Allie had the same moment in her motherhood and stopped to problem solve rather than do what most of us do- follow the same pattern expecting a different result. She realized that the things she was cleaning up every day were her kids toys- and they had way too many of them. So she started on a path that led her to clearing out not only a toy haul, but all the clutter that inundated her life! It left her so bored that she had to change a few things in their family...and you'll have to listen to find out what I'm talking about!

EP 132: Doing A LOT With a Little with Rhonna Farrer of Rhonna's Designs

You know those days as a mom when you are just melting into the floor in despair because you can't handle one more thing? The days you realize maybe you've taken on too much and need to quit it all just to be able to be the perfect mother? I know you've felt that way- whether or not you work or just take on a lot of extra responsibilities in your community, church, etc. The day I sat down to chat with Rhonna was one of those days for me. I had met her once before but it was an instant love, an immediate connection that I was BEYOND grateful to have. I knew before we even got Skype to work that it was going to lift my burden just to talk to her. And of course- she said all the right things and never once made me feel bad for feeling bad!

As she went on to share some incredible, uplifting stories, she warmed my heart even more and helped me see that there is hope beyond my bad days.

Rhonna is famous for her incredible app- Rhonna's Designs. It's been one of the most popular apps in the app store for three years now, and will change. your. life! She's SO talented and has evolved with her field even before it was ready to evolve. Basically she was a pioneer of digital media, online scrapbooking and frankly- doing a LOT with a little.

In an era where it feels like we need ALL the things to be successful, this episode will ground you and help you to realize what is most important, how to make your dreams come true no matter what your circumstance- and it will just leave you feeling AWESOME.

Rhonna is by far one of the wisest, sweetest women I've had the pleasure of knowing and I can't wait for you to get to know her more through this episode! Thank you for sharing your heart with us you beautiful woman!

Keep up with Rhonna on Instagram and all the places- you won't be sorry!

EP 131: Success Through Failing with Wendy Bunnell

Wendy is a powerhouse woman, full of knowledge and inspiration! She reached out to me a few months ago to see if I wanted to be a part of a really amazing project- a contributing author in a book called Success Through Failing. I asked her for more info- mostly to find out if I was even successful enough to be a part of this group of 25 women who would be sharing their journeys.  With her wisdom and love she helped me realize that there is no end date with success- it's a constant process, and the things I have done in my life thus far are actually giant successes!  Also- failures. I know there have been many and there will be many more.  My heart totally burned with conviction as she explained the mission of this book and I knew I had to be involved!

Wendy's mission that started a few years ago is to help heal the hearts and minds of women.  She has worked hard to spread her message and is taking it a step further with this book. Wendy is sharing a bit of her story, how and why she created From Critical to Confident- her full time business.  Also listen to hear how that business evolved into an idea for a book.

I am SO excited to be a part of this project and know you will be insanely uplifted by each chapter! I will be featuring several guests from the book over the course of the next few months as we prepare for the release of the book in February! Come follow along on Facebook and get a ticket for the book launch where you can come hear several of the authors speak!

Thank you Wendy for not only being a guest on the podcast but for considering me successful enough to be a contributing author of this wonderful book! Everyone stay tuned for more info!

Chelsie wrote this amazing book- Before There Was You and when I saw the back cover of the book- I knew she had to be on the podcast!

She is a born writer with a passion for her kids, which shines through in her poem turned children's book. I was insanely impressed when I realized she also illustrated the book- beautiful vibrant relatable illustrations that make it a favorite on my bookshelf!

Today we are talking about her life as a blogger and how that propelled her into writing her own book. She's telling all about how it came to pass, what she hopes her kids will learn from her and most importantly- what makes her a marvelous mom!

Come listen in to be inspired and reminded how spectacular it is to be a mother!

And go get Chelsie's book ASAP!

EP 129: Simplifying Your Plan with Emily Ley, Author of Grace, Not Perfection

Emily not only has a thriving business but a thriving family as well! Emily is a mom of three including a set of twins after struggling for years with infertility.

Not only has she had a journey growing her amazing family, she has also taken baby steps to grow her incredible business into what it is now. She had to throw "planning" out the window at a certain point in her story, against her nature to constantly plan- and the fact that her job was literally to make planners.

Emily is truly a sweet person and you'll adore every moment of this episode. So easy to talk to, so inspiring and she really brings home all the feelings that come with being a devoted mother who is also devoted to her business.

Emily is also the author of Grace Not Perfection, which really sums up the struggle we all feel when it comes to being "perfect parents" or "perfect business owner" or really- perfect ANYTHING!

I always have guests appear in my life right when I need them- which I consider a huge bonus of what I do- but I am always happy to share these messages and moments with the rest of you!

Thank you Emily for reminding me to give grace to myself, my family and my calling!

EP 128: Mompreneur Monday with Nellie Akalp

Nellie's amazing message is perfect for moms in all walks of life- but especially the mompreneurs out there listening!  It's always inspiring to hear stories from women who have really conquered the world so to speak- and have tremendous knowledge to share with the rest of us!  Nellie is and has been an entrepreneur, along with her husband, for their entire marriage.

They created a successful company in the 90's, and proceeded to sell it for 20 million dollars. Too young and energetic to retire, they decided to start again and create another successful business, this time in the social media age!

Nellie talks a lot about how she gets it all done, what her kids expect from she and her husband (it might surprise you) and how she deals with mom guilt!

This is a great one for the aspiring entrepreneur, or someone seasoned and needing a little pick me up!

Thanks Nellie for your words of wisdom!

EP 127: Cara Brook Part 2- Fostering with Love

Cara warms my heart and without a doubt will warm all of your hearts before this episode is over! Motherhood is such an interesting thing and sometimes comes with all kinds of unexpected emotions.

So many women have come on my podcast knowing they were destined for motherhood, whereas some had no idea if mothering would be innate or awesome for them. Cara is one of the latter, but quickly discovered she is meant for motherhood. She has given birth to two gorgeous kids, but didn't stop there! Feeling an empty space in her heart, she realized someone in her family was missing. She knew someday she would foster and adopt children, but soon realized it was going to happen sooner than later. Listen in to hear all about the past year of Cara's life as she stepped onto a path that has made her life magnificently different!

EP 126: A Beautiful Life with Cara Brook of Maskcara

Ladies, you are in for a treat today. My guest, the fabulous Cara Brook of Maskcara is amazing and she's sharing all about how she started her wildly successful makeup line. How many people do you know that have started their own makeup line from the ground up? Cara has known for most of her life that this was her dream, and she's worked her tail off to make it a reality.

In part one of her interview she is sharing in depth her entire entrepreneurial journey up to this point. The moments that seemed completely insurmountable coupled with more success than she ever banked on!

Get your notepad ready because Cara drops some serious knowledge and tools to succeed and you will absolutely love this episode! Thanks Cara for hanging out with me and reminiscing about our awkward middle school and high school days. I, for one, am very glad you didn't peak in high school!

EP 125: What Life Really Looks Like with Claire Aleman

Claire- I LOVED chatting with you. You are such a rock solid mom who has totally come out of the trenches with a smile on your face!  I am so happy to share this episode with you all- Claire is truly a beautiful soul with so many stories to share! Claire has six children- which she didn't think was going to be her reality due to the fact that her husband had testicular cancer years before.  Two of her children are twins, which is a handful in and of itself!  She also has learned to work around the struggles that come from having three of her six children on the autism spectrum.  Sometimes peeking inside someone's life is completely jaw dropping, and that's how I felt listening to Claire.  These crazy moments and experiences haven't broken her- instead they have made her the totally marvelous mom she is today! This is a MUST LISTEN moms! Enjoy!

EP 124: Old Fashioned Miracles with Jen Hatzung of She Percolates

I first heard Jen's story on one of my favorite podcasts- Boss Mom.  Hearing bits of her journey into motherhood made me emotional and I knew I had to share it here with you, my wonderful Marvelous Moms Club!

It's crazy how struggles can literally bring us to our knees, or onto the bathroom floor in Jen's case, but bring us to the most incredible miracles of our lives. I will never fully comprehend the need for such pain, but I glimpse it when I realize how richly we are blessed, and wonder if we'd know how special certain things are, without first struggling.  Infertility is one of the most painful things I've witnessed my own friends experience, and Jen's story is the perfect depiction of all the emotions that come along with it.

Finally finding herself the recipient of a total "old fashioned miracle" as she wrote to me, she cherishes every day of motherhood.  You won't be able to help but smile as you hear her talk about her sweet Eleanor and how cute she is with her cheeks so big she topples over!

Jen is also a pretty awesome podcaster over at She Percolates, and the concept of this podcast is so cool to me.  As entrepreneurs or even just people we tend to lack the feeling of success, even when we have achieved success! Her podcast celebrates women in every stage of success and reminds us to own our accomplishments. I love the message there, so go check out that podcast when you're done listening to this one!

Thanks so much for sharing so much of your heart Jen! It was such an awesome chat!

EP 123: The Business of Blogging with Alycia Crowley of Crowley Party

Oh Alycia- I could talk to you for days on end and it wouldn't be enough! Less than a year ago I had no idea this blogger world existed, but when I discovered it, I quickly found the ones who really touched a nerve, who made me happy and who I just LOVED. Alycia is one of those.

I caught her on Periscope one day talking about how difficult it is to make friends as an adult- and I knew I had to talk to her. And while that's not what we really focus on here on this episode- I want everyone listening to know how quickly people connect with you and love you when you're vulnerable. It opens doors, makes friendships and leads to awesome episodes like this one!

Alycia has been blogging since the beginning and keeps her space of the internet very happy and party-like, hence the title of her blog Crowley Party. I always appreciate someone making cyberspace a little bit nicer and naturally I love Alycia. Have I mentioned that already?

From the ups and downs of having a life on social media, to the unappreciated skills we both had as kids- you'll learn a lot on this episode! And Alycia is giving away a copy of her awesome e-book to everyone! Blogging At the Next Level is awesome and I'm so happy Alycia is giving this to ALL of you!

EP 122: Choosing Happiness with Briana Johnson of The Life Beats Project

Briana immediately hit my radar when I found her podcast- because I'm ALWAYS on the hunt for other podcasters doing what I do! I was so happy to see that she is also sharing stories that empower people, uplift them and just bring overall good vibrations into the world!

Briana has quite a touching personal story. As the mother of five children, she already has a full plate, but on top of that she works full time to support her family since her husband suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. She stumbled into the world of podcasting after a round table podcasting class at a blogger conference. She realized it would be the most ideal way for her to share not only her story, but other inspiring stories.

I fell in love with Briana and felt like it was Destiny when she told me one of her daughter's names. You'll have to listen to find out why.

Thanks Briana for stepping up to the other side of the interview! It was so fun to chat with you!

Go follow Life Beats Project and subscribe to her podcast!

EP 121: Stories About My Mother with Rachel Nielson of Power of Moms

Rachel came and shared stories of motherhood from a very different perspective on today's episode. We always listen to personal accounts of motherhood from the mothers themselves, but today we are getting a glimpse into a mother's life from her daughter. Rachel spent most of her growing up years with a mother who battled cancer. Her mother fought a long fight and was determined to see her three daughters raised. Rachel is sharing some very tender and touching moments today that will remind you to cherish each day, be grateful for the life you have and to appreciate your own mother.

I love so many things about this episode including the ideas to write letters to your children, to journal and record yourself in many formats for your children to enjoy. I am so honored to have had Rachel share these sweet moments and memories with us here on the podcast and know you'll love listening!

Thanks Ashlee for being a guest and sitting on the other end of the interview to share your experiences with my listeners!

EP 119: The Joys of Motherhood with Shannon Tripp

Shannon has quickly become one of my favorite people to follow on social media because I know how AMAZING she is! I got to know her a little bit from Periscope when it was in it's hay day, and now I keep up with her through Instagram. She shares such raw beautiful content and makes me feel so PROUD to be a mother, so motivated to do my best and really brings together all the most beautiful elements of motherhood! Her happiness in her role of mother is contagious, and her perspective as an E.R. pediatric nurse will remind you how much we need to cherish our amazing children!

Enjoy my chat with Shannon, it will be the most heart warming tender thing you'll listen to all day! Thank you beautiful friend, for sharing pieces of your sweet heart and happiness with us!

EP 118: Mommy Talk with Lesley Miller of Coffee+Crumbs

Chatting with a fellow podcaster is ALWAYS a treat and Lesley did not disappoint! She podcasts over at Coffee+Crumbs, which is a spinoff of one of my favorite blogs on the internet. If you need a good mom cry (and haven't cried too much from episodes here) Coffee+Crumbs is the place to go. Raw, vulnerable mommy content at its finest!

Lesley has such a sweet story and shares about her writing background, and the miracle surrounding the birth of her two youngest children.

My favorite aspect of podcasting is having those "me too" moments..and talking with Lesley was a series of those moments. Listen in to our mom chat to fall in love with Lesley like I did, and to remember that you are not alone in the crazy journey of motherhood!

Ep 117: Against All Odds, Stories of Adoption with Kindle Garner

Kindle is one of those people you just INSTANTLY love. It could be her charming demeanor, or the way she can melt your heart and make you laugh all in one sentence. Or maybe it's the fact that in spite of how incredible her story is, she's still relatable, in a really spectacular way. Whatever it is that makes me love her, I guarantee you will love her too!

Her story is heart wrenching, faith testing and empowering, and she is the definition of Marvelous Mom. And here's what I want everyone to realize- being marvelous does not mean being perfect. It means fully embracing your motherhood, feeling gratitude for your children and your divine role as their mother.

Grab a box of tissues and prepare to ugly cry. This is a story of faith in God, faith in the fact that He truly hears prayers and answers them, and that we are all worthy of amazing blessings!

Enjoy this episode brought to you by the Retail Arbitrage Course, where you can learn to make money every time you go shopping!

EP 115: Hope, Faith and Freckles with Emily Meyers of The Freckled Fox

Several months ago I was on my favorite social media platform, Periscope, when a new person popped up and everyone invited me to watch her live streams. I had never heard of her, didn't know her story (because I was living under a rock somewhere that Instagram didn't exist apparently), but I instantly loved her. Who was this beautiful red head with five children, and how on earth did she seem so calm and sweet with FIVE children under the age of five running around? I got to know Emily a lot through watching her Periscopes, and we became "social media friends", which was wonderful. She would come on my periscopes and laugh and leave supportive comments as I tried to show everyone my make-up regimen that consisted of 3 year old lip liners and half broken brushes. I thought, hey, this girl is really sweet and fun, I should have her on the podcast sharing some mom tips since she's clearly got some things figured out to have had so many kids in such a short time! I had no idea, none whatsoever, that she was battling the hardest year of her life.

Because I had been living under a rock, I had never read her blog, didn't know that her husband Martin was suffering from Stage 4 Melanoma. I didn't know that on top of taking care of five kids, she was taking care of a terminally ill husband, maintaining a blog and keeping a smile on her face. I just thought she was an adorable, carefree mom with the standard life we all seem to live. When I started reading more on her blog, I was devastated for her. I almost felt embarrassed that I had asked her to be on the podcast, not realizing how difficult life was for her. I watched with thousands of other people as her life continued to become weighed down with sorrow, and cried my eyes out when I found out her sweet husband had passed away just days before Father's Day.

You never know how to talk to someone when they are in grief, or at least I don't. I prayed for Emily like everyone else, and let her know I was there. Fast forward a few months, and now I can't go a day without talking to her. She's become one of my soul sister friends, the kind that you just know you knew before. I'd always heard Emily was sweet and kind, but until I met her in real life, I didn't realize truly how special she is. And not only is she the most patient, mellow mother, she is HILARIOUS and we keep each other laughing on a daily basis, which I have always thought is the best medicine...

Emily came to visit me this past weekend with all five of those amazing kids, and we stole a little time after they were all in bed to finally have this podcast interview. I'm honored to be able to share a little more insight into what the last year and a half were like for Emily, the moments she didn't feel ready to share on her blog, the stories behind the stories. I know it's been overwhelming to share everything in the middle of her turmoil, and she's always striven to keep her blog positive, faith-filled and amazing. So grab some tissues- I promise you will need them, and if you haven't already, prepare to fall head over heels in love with this absolutely Marvelous Mom, Emily Meyers.

Make sure you SUBSCRIBE to catch all the new episodes!

I love sharing these stories with you, and all of them hold a piece of my heart!

EP 114: Life's a Picnic with Leah Loudermilk of Island Picnic

I'm slowly realizing and learning and most entrepreneurship is born first by filling a personal need, then realizing more people need the information or skill we have gained.  That is true of Leah's story, who upon realizing her daughter had food allergies, decided to look deeper into what might be the source of this new and growing problem.  She turned to organic products not only for food, but for clothing and household items we are using every day that we may not realize contribute to our overall health. My mind was blown at some of the facts she shared about pesticides on cotton!

Leah found that most organic products were boring and bland and went on to create Island Picnic, where she sells amazing and CUTE organic products! She also helps educate others who are on the same path with children who have food allergies.  She has such a great positive attitude and it was so eye opening to hear about how she's had to educate not only herself and her daughter, but the school and those who spend the most time with her daughter!

Come listen to Leah's story and check out her blog at!

EP 113: A Chat About Motherhood with Chatbooks Creator Vanessa Quigley

I met Vanessa at a blogger conference where she shared not only her story of how she and her husband created Chatbooks, but her love for music and her incredible singing talent!  As a mother of seven she inspired me and I knew I had to share her story with the rest of you.  She's the example of following your dream to be an amazing mother, while also being true to your heart and pursuing the other talents and passions you were blessed with.  It can be so easy to get stuck in the rut of motherhood or to feel like you are betraying your family by having other hobbies or joys, but what most of us who follow that calling find, it can actually make us better mothers! It's all about feeling fulfilled and finding a type of balance that fits who you are as an individual and as a mother into one fantastic life. And Vanessa never pretends to have it all together or to have mastered it perfectly. She has given up some of her endeavors to pursue others. But she is an example of listening to that inner voice that tells you it's ok to love more than one thing.

Enjoy today's episode, it's really just a chat between moms, about being a mom and all the highs and lows that come with every phase of motherhood!  Enjoy! And thank you Vanessa for treating us to a sneak peek into your life!

EP 111: Share the Good with Daniel Davis of Stiry

Something new is happening on the podcast- our first ever male guest! I don't make this allowance for just anyone, in fact I never have. But Dan's new website and mission, Stiry, is too important to ignore. And I've had the amazing opportunity to work with him to sponsor today's story.

When I started Marvelous Moms Club it was to do the very thing Stiry is doing, but more directly for mothers. Sharing good on the internet and sharing people's stories. I see the good it has done, how it inspires others to work past defeat and tragedy and I know personally this has moved my own personal mountains.

It is with joy that I share today's story of the day with you, as well as an in depth look at how and why Stiry was created!

Check it out and enjoy! See you back here for new episodes in September!

Ep 109: How To Be the COOL Mom with Kimi Encarnacion

You know that mom, the one you're like "How is she just SO cool? Can I be that cool or was she just born with that cool factor?" That for me is moms like Kimi. She stands out, she's not afraid to be authentic, original and it's impossible to not like her. I love her unique style, her attitude of fun and the mother she is to her two teenage sons! It is with CRAZY excitement that I share this interview with the "cool" mom in my hood, Kimi!  Not only is she a cool mom but she's a cool person. She's in a band, she goes to concerts with her kids and is an avid Coachella attendee, her boys will tell you at any given time music is blasting through the house, need I say more? Oh wait, I can. She's been in a movie! So rockstar, movie star and now, Marvelous Mom's Star!

Ep 108: Cherishing These Days with Candace Thomas of Luxe With Kids

Candace's blog speaks to my soul. I found her on instagram and this memory came rushing back. A memory from before I was a mother and people told me everything would change. I'd never be able to travel, to do ANYTHING fun again because now it would all be about my kids. That wasn't fun to hear! And I didn't believe it when I heard it. I believed then and still believe now that we can have a lot of luxe in our lives, even with kids. In fact, they are the ones who make all those things 10X better!

Candace's blog will show you how to still be fabulous and have a great time with your family. No need to settle for mediocrity or blah...make it luxe...with kids!

Ep 107: You CAN Do Hard Things with Catherine Bingham

Catherine is one of those women who you'd never guess has a "past" or has experienced one of the most heartbreaking trials a woman can face. Her constant smile and kindness towards others as well as the amazingly happy family she has are the result of choosing joy, and navigating her way through one of her biggest challenges.

At the age of 28 with 4 young children aged 7, 5, 3 and 8 months old her family was forever changed after a car accident on the way home from family dinner. She lost her husband in the blink of an eye and was faced with the daunting task of raising these children on her own. And while she had the help of friends and family, as she put it, nobody loves your children the way you do. She became mother and father, taking on two roles and choosing to do it as well as she possibly could. She chose to thrive and not just to survive. She made it through years of single parenting with the help of resilient and patient children.

Years later she reconnected with her high school sweetheart and they married and blended their two families together. So now she is the proud mother of 7 children including two step children and her youngest son Jackson who unified the family and serves as their energetic family mascot!

I loved talking with Catherine about the ways she has not only overcome her biggest pains and obstacles, but how she's grown to be the amazing woman and mother she is today.

Her insight into blending a family together and some of the ways they have grown are insightful not only for blended families but for all families. Working together, yearly vacations and fostering safe and loving environment are all ways she and her husband have worked to create a happy home.

I'm so happy Catherine shared her story with me so that I could share it with the rest of you. I hope that it serves as comfort, or a guide to those of you who may face the same trials.

Prepare for a fun, adventurous and uplifting audio experience that will motivate you to be the mom you always imagined you would be!

Ep 105: Mompreneur Master Jenna Wood of Hello Fab

Jenna has made a huge difference in my life with her friendly personality and willingness to help others grow their online businesses! Starting with her own boutique she has always been determined to make some sort of extra income for her family. She made me giggle when she said if she didn't have a way of doing online business she'd be an Uber driver or have a paper route. I think we can all relate to wanting some extra spending cash and the flexibility to make money from home. Jenna has mastered many ways to do just that and is inspiring many women every day to create, learn and be successful in their own businesses. I really wanted her to share bits of her journey for those of you who may think you don't have time for anything else! With a husband in law school and two small children she is working with those extra hours to both contribute to their household and feel fulfilled in a wonderful productive way!

Jenna now runs an online blog where she can literally do work with nothing but her cell phone and a laptop. You can check out her amazing blog Hello Fab to see what she's up to these days in the online world. I love her posts there and that they vary between fashion tips and deals and also mompreneur advice!

Jenna spoke my language when she admitted that even if she didn't have a lot going on with her business she still wouldn't have a spotless house or gourmet meals on the table every night! And that running her business is an outlet and really something she does for HER...that happens to make money!

Jenna fills us in with some of her expertise on how to make money blogging! If this is something you've been wanting to do, this is the episode for you! Jenna has put four years of hard work into her amazing blog/business and it shows! She's super talented and someone I drop everything to watch on Periscope!

I absolutely loved it when Jenna said, in regard to our interview: "Let this MOTIVATE you. You are wonderful and perfect no matter where you are at in your entrepreneurial or motherhood journey you just gotta get going!"

Come listen in to get all of the amazing advice and inspiration Jenna offers in our chat!

And thank you Jenna for being so amazing, inspiring me as a mompreneur and woman and for all that you are offering the world through your beautiful example!

Eo 104: Disney Dreamin' with Bethanie Garcia

Bethanie became instantly one of my favorite people the first time I spoke with her on the phone. Another modern day marvel thanks to social media I only know her because of a photo her husband posted of her coming home from a taping of the Steve Harvey show where "New School Moms" vs "Old School Moms". Ben, my husband is actually the one who found the photo while Disney hashtag searching and we were super intrigued to hear their story and what made them so "unconventional". She was totally up for talking and we chatted on the phone for 20 minutes and I felt instantly connected to her because she just GETS IT. She's a dreamer, just like me. And she understands how Disney plays a role in having a life full of dreams! She just takes it to an even cooler level as a professional princess and she's married to one of the most TALENTED costume designers I've ever met.

I love when she explained the joy of being a princess and looking into little girls eyes and telling them their dreams can come true. I think you REALLY have to believe that is truth to share it with children and I can totally understand how it would be an emotional experience to carry such a beautiful message and to deliver it with little dreamers! And she even SOUNDS like a Disney princess- don't you think? I love that she is pursuing such a wide array of dreams and goals all while being a marvelous mom to her three beautiful kids! And teaching them that no dream is too big, you are never too old to pursue what you love! For example, she started dancing as an adult and while most people would feel "too old" to start up a new talent, she is going after it anyway and teaching her children a valuable lesson!

Bethanie and her husband are a bit unconventional in that they are currently "Unschooling" their children. It sounds so scary and odd but the more I've learned about it the more I realize it only sounds weird and scary because it's different and think about this- every person who has had crazy success in life has stepped outside of the norms to create their own amazing life. So while it seems like a hippy idea- it's actually resonating with me more and more and I'm realizing that YES why WOULDN'T you want to teach your children how to be responsible adults and to let their creative curiosity guide their knowledge? They are learning at a young age how to set goals and work hard to achieve them! You can read so much more about this on her blog listed down below!

I love when Bethanie started talking about possibility- this isn't an exact quote but she said, "Your life is whatever you believe it is. Your reality is whatever you want it to be! You don't have to focus on sadness- you can create something so much more magical and beautiful- you can create whatever you want to live in. Once you start believing the world is a good place- you start noticing the good even more. Life snowballs in a really great way."

Thank you Bethanie for sharing your story, for being so charming and wonderful and I am so excited to take Disney by storm with you! :)

Ep 103: Living a Purposeful Life with Brittany Lawrence

Brittany's story left me in tears the first time I heard it. I mean we're talking sobbing in the front seat while my husband was driving. I knew instantly I had to share it on the podcast, not because it is fascinating and heartbreaking at the same time, but because her attitude and zeal for life going forward is inspiring.

Knowing your future could be very short on the earth could cripple you and leave you in state of helplessness, but Brittany has taken a very rare diagnosis and chosen to have the fullest life possible, without fear or limitation. Her light shines around everyone near her and if I could talk to her every day I would!

She is a killer mompreneur with so many things going on it's no wonder people call her "busy Britt"!

Come listen in to hear her story and be motivated to not waste a single moment of your life. I know I won't after hearing from her!

Have a marvelous day!

She illustrates perfectly how I feel about each one of you, how much I want you to know how beautiful and amazing and MARVELOUS you are!

Sadie has changed a broken home upbringing into a flourishing life where she has overcome her crutches of eating and poor relationships to find true happiness.

She's so much more than her story and continues to inspire women on her blog, Simply Sadie Jane. Her attitude is one we should all adopt when trying to conquer the world. Follow her story and learn from her, I know I have and will!

Through the quirky mom Facebook community she is connecting with mothers from all over the world, giving mothering advice, fun ideas for activities to do with the kids and so much more!

I loved chatting with her about her journey and how it began from wanting to document moments, to help other moms see that they are not alone in this crazy mom life and then how she's worked hard to turn that passion into an income.

She gets passive income in a way very few people do and I was all sorts of excited whilst talking with her on the podcast! Check it out, I guarantee you'll learn something and be inspired!

Ep 096: Mompreneur Monday with Mia Moran of Plan Simple Meals

Mia was such a soul sister and I loved hearing about her adventures in both healthy eating and entrepreneur life. She is a fellow podcaster and I could talk to her every day and it still wouldn't be enough- so thank goodness for her podcast where I can learn all she has to share!

She went from drinking 8 cups of coffee (or more) per day to eating completely raw vegan and doing yoga pretty much overnight and lost the 75 pounds she had gained from having babies. She didn't stop there either, she took her story to the internet and now inspires hundreds if not thousands of people to do the same by planning simple meals and making healthy eating possible for everyone!

Her new book is out now and she is taking her family on a "fambatical" while she does her book tour, because it wouldn't make sense to promote healthy eating with the family without....the family! Listen in to her business skills, her health journey and so much more on today's episode!

Jun 13, 2016
Ep 095: A Toe in Two Worlds with Shannon Chabot

Shannon was a delight to talk to, and I loved getting to know her and her story of motherhood! Starting out as a single mom she balanced her own world with that of being a mother in a coparenting situation. Years later she found the man of her dreams and has since had three more children! She chats about the interesting balance between having a child in high school and a child in preschool and what it's like to have her toe in two different worlds of parenting.

After putting her career and education on hold to raise her family she is now taking things a step at a time, getting her Masters degree so she can pursue a career in school counseling and family therapy.

Her God centered approach is so sweet and I know you'll love hearing about each aspect of her journey and gain respect for her trials! Thank you Shannon I just love you!

Jun 08, 2016
Ep 094: Mompreneur Monday with Thomasine Shepard

Thomasine is a marriage and family therapist, with emphasis on family therapy in the Los Angeles area. She has a very interesting career background and I really loved hearing about what brought her into the role she fits perfectly with now, which is being a therapist. In the middle of all of this she became a mother and has found herself in the place a lot of working moms find themselves in- wanting to be home more with their kids. Having the freedom to be your own boss and make your own hours.

So she started her own practice which did just that- gave her a lot more control in her life to be the mother she wants to be! While a lot of therapists think they need and MBA to go out on their own, she simply hired a business coach and was brave enough to go for it!

Listen to her story of how her miscarriage helped her realize a need that wasn't being met among the mothering community and what she is doing now to stay busy even with a husband who works as a Disney Imagineer and two beautiful daughters!

Thank you Thomasine, you are one sharp lady and I loved getting to know you and hearing your story!

McKenna is not only one of my favorite people to follow on snapchat but she is a mom with a really cool story and a lot to share with the world! Holistic healing is just one of the many things she does on a daily basis and you'll need to listen in to hear all about her and what she does! I love that she went from having a uterus that was completely unable to conceive to one that conceived on its own without any medical assistance just by changing her diet and health habits! It reminds me that anything is possible and there is never reason to doubt or fear the future!

McKenna, thank you for being on the podcast and sharing so much awesome inspiration with me and everyone else! I love how you have taken care of yourself and then made it possible for all of us to do the same!

EP 091: Mompreneur Monday with Crystal Escobar of Wannabe Balanced Mom

Crystal is not only an amazing mompreneur who I am honored to have had her on the podcast, but a new friend who I absolutely adore!  We had a chance to hang out in California when we drove together to a blogger conference and I am looking forward to living in Southern Utah so I can see her more often and soak in all her greatness! By the way- we're moving! More about that soon!

Back to my lovely friend Crystal. She and her husband became millionaires by age 27 and then have gone on to make even more millions leading them to early retirement of sorts, which has freed up a lot of time for her to pursue her other interest and spend endless time with her family!  She blogs as Wannabe Balanced Mom and shares her healthy eating tips, has published a meal plan book and still keeps up with the network marketing business she and her husband run together! I told her during our call that her life has me like #goals and it is totally true. I can't wait to get to a point where I can outsource every day things to allow me to have even more fun with my kids- because at the end of the day that's what its all about!

Listen in to hear about her natural births, her mompreneur adventures and her healthy lifestyle which includes DIY kombucha! Thanks Crystal for sharing all kinds of greatness with us!

EP 090: Steppin' Up with Brittany Fay

Brittany shared SO many amazing things about herself from her plunge into motherhood as a stepmother to her two oldest sons, and then her wild ride becoming a mom to two more children of her own creation.  I loved her story about how her stepsons accepted her so unconditionally.  She shared a sweet story she told from the first days of her dating her husband- the heartwarming words of her stepson made me get chills. You just need to hear it from her.  She overcame the fear that accompanied marrying into a family unit and in my eyes has always been so brave and "cool"! Any kid would be lucky to have her as a mom, and I think she is an awesome example of being a stepmom as well.

Brittany also shared her experiences with postpartum anxiety which is so fitting since we've been chatting about mental health awareness this month.  I know those things are never comfortable to share but she opened up so freely and expressed what the experience was like for her! I think she's a rockstar, and you will too!

May 27, 2016
EP 089: Simply Organized with Sarah Chezum

Sarah was SO fun to chat with, and my absolute FAVORITE part of our talk together was when she told the story of loving the book everyone is talking about- The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and what her husband said that made her sad the book didn't really apply to her! You need to listen to hear it, it left me in tears laughing! As a fellow mompreneur in the making she is learning the life/work balance and putting her creative passion into her blog where she gives organization strategies to others to help them tidy up their lives! She is the mother of two and I was SO impressed by how much content she has already put into her blog, - Home Simply Organized, she's a hard worker and I see her doing some pretty amazing things! Listen in to our fun conversation and be inspired to get a little more organized! It's simple! :)

May 25, 2016

EP 087: Adoption, Down Syndrome and All Things Awesome with Heather Avis

Heather is absolutely amazing and the thing I love most about her is her modesty about how wonderful she is. While I look at her in awe at what she accomplishes every day as a mother of three adopted children, two with Down Syndrome; she looks at her life and thinks- it's no big deal. This is my motherhood journey! And I think we can all say that, we can all be grateful for our unique situation, for the way we are growing our families, for our individual struggles. It's not glamorous, it's not more important than anyone else's, it's just OUR journey. I think that's the whole point of Marvelous Moms Club, to see these amazing women and realize they are just like us. They are battling the same demons, they are working their butts off to have happy and thriving homes. And while it looks so BIG at times to see others life stories, it's really just a testament to how incredible this life experience is and how blessed we are to have a unique story of our own that we are creating every day!

Heather and her husband share their joy of having these three beautiful adopted kids on Instagram over at Macy Makes My Day which started when her first daughter Macyn was brought into their family. A friend encouraged her to start sharing their lives on Instagram and it has grown to be such an influential and inspiring feed, one that everyone needs to follow!

Heather is pursuing her passion for writing and has a book that will be released next March, so keep up with her and follow her story as it continues to unfold!

EP 086: Finding Joy After Depression with Melissa Anderson

Melissa has quite a story and has endured many hard days to become the joyful mother she is today! Through an incredibly challenging pregnancy and postpartum depression she is helping raise awareness for other mothers who may be living under a shroud of doubt or fear. Only 15% of women with postpartum depression will get help or realize they need it.  She is working to change those numbers over on her Facebook group and website- Let's Find Joy. I'm so happy she is making the road less traveled a little less daunting for those who need it! And I'm so grateful she reached out to me and shared her story so that I could share it with all of you! Thank you Melissa for using your experiences to ease the burdens of others!

EP 085: Mompreneur Monday with Summer Alvarez

I had so much fun chatting with Summer for this episode of the podcast, she's one of the most genuine and sweet moms I know with a tender heart and big dreams!  One of the coolest things about her is that she is a former NFL and NBA cheerleader!  That enthusiasm has carried over into her life as a mom and she is now cheering a new set of people on, her adorable kids.  Summer shares her mompreneur life as well as insight into some of her mom struggles and some moments that can paralyze you as a parent. She is a strong advocate for her children and her courage is insanely inspiring! Come listen in to her story and I promise you'll love her as much as I do! Thanks Summer- you're amazing!

EP 084: It's My Depression- with Katelin Rogers of Relationship Refinery

Katelin is an incredibly talented writer and a friend of mine from high school. Thanks to the power of social media we have been able to watch each other from afar and I've always been so impressed by Katelin's fearlessness (in my eyes) in everything she does. I watched her with excitement (and a little bit of jealousy) when she lived in New York and worked as a nanny. I've loved seeing her become a mother to her sweet boys and was so proud of her fearlessness in sharing her journey with depression. What I loved most about her explanation is how her depression didn't look at all like what she had always thought depression was supposed to be.  She kept blaming it on different things until finally she realized she was no longer the person she used to be.  Taking those big steps towards change and progress are so overwhelming but the results can be so incredibly sweet. Listen in to hear more about Katelin's story- you won't be sorry you did!

EP 083: Being A Domestic Goddess with Megan Stoker

Megan was so much fun to talk to and when she told me about how she prides herself in being a domestic Goddess like her mom I felt like I had known her my whole life. She loves to do the things most moms hate- folding laundry, washing dishes and cleaning her house! It just goes to show how different we all are and how varied our passions and skills are! I loved hearing about her journey to motherhood since it is so similar (almost uncanny) to mine!  She is such a sweet mommy to her two adorable kids and I'm so happy to be sharing her episode with you all! Keep up with her on her blog The Stoker Kitchen as well as Instagram @thestokerkitchen!

EP 082: Mompreneur Monday with Savanah Poulsen

Savanah is one of my Periscope Sisters aka Scope Sisters and I have grown to love her so much even though the most we've ever met is online! She was a single mom for a short time and worked hard to provide for her adorable daughter.  She has learned a lot about herself and learned to love and appreciate the person she is and has rediscovered her self worth. That discovery has pushed her forward towards a life of happiness with her new husband and second daughter!  I loved hearing about her experiences as a mother and how she's instilling that same sense of self worth into her daughters. She's amazing and it is with great joy that I share with you her amazing Marvelous Moms Club interview!

EP 081: A Celebration of Motherhood with Amy Ellsworth

Amy was such a breath of fresh air and such a marvelous mom, I had to air her episode before Mother's Day because she really epitomizes the word mother. After being told her odds were less than 1 in a million for getting pregnant she mourned the loss of the children she would never have- but immediately started the process of adoption.  Fast forward a little over a decade later and she is now the mother of 7 amazing kids.  You need to listen to the whole episode to hear how it all came to be, it is really a beautiful sequence of events!

Amy was recently crowned Mother of the Year for the state of Nevada through a wonderful organization called American Mothers.  You can check them out HERE. Amy let me know it's an organization worth learning about and she was able to meet many other mothers who are as marvelous as she, making a positive influence in the world! After speaking with her I know without a doubt she deserved her title and I was reminded of my divine role as a mother and how important it is to cherish this title. I felt her story and her beautiful soul was a perfect fit for today's episode and I know you will too!

Thanks for listening Marvelous Moms! Stay tuned for a possible bonus episode on Mother's Day! You are all amazing, marvelous and inspire me every day to keep becoming the dream version of myself. Have a great weekend!

Ep 080: Energy Healing with Tara Williams

Today is very unique, I don't ever put video up with my episodes but I felt that for my listeners to get the full effects of this episode I wanted to show everything that happened. You can see the full video on Youtube by searching Marvelous Moms Club.It was such an amazing experience for me and I feel like so many words came into my mind than were ever even spoken out loud by Tara. The energy in the room that day was indescribable and I recommend learning more about energy and energy healing.  And I suggest you head over to Tara's podcast to learn, she's amazing, talented and was so in tune with how I was feeling and what I needed to work through. Even re-watching it caused more "stuff" to come to the surface and I let go of a lot.  It was a moving experience and one I hope you enjoy.  Check out Tara at to book a session or to learn more! EP 079: Mompreneur Monday with Whippy Cake

You guys, this might be my favorite episode...because Whippy Cake summed up EVERY good thing...I mean ALL THE GOOD THINGS I have been sharing and felt so passionate about for the past 6 months.  She's amazing, and it is with great honor I share her episode with you today! She's the ultimate mompreneur, as the mother of four she also runs her business from home, sharing goodness with the world one video, blog post, Periscope and Instagram post at a time.  She's the real deal, someone I want to model my own life as a mompreneur after.  Listen to our whole chat, it's a good one!

Whip is, as she calls herself, a "Multipassioniate Infopreneur" which could be why I love her so much.  She loves soaking in good information and doesn't limit herself to one particular venture or goal. Starting out as an avid crafter, at the behest of her husband she turned her crafting addiction into a thriving online business.  Her entrepreneur journey has shifted and changed a lot over the years but you can still find her "whippin" up lots of great things from beauty tips to decorating and style advice and SO much more.

My favorite analogy of all time will forever be the one she shared about shopping carts and passions.  You just have to listen to it to fully enjoy it. And there are so many amazing pieces of inspiration and GOOD STUFF you just really need to stop now and listen. Give it your complete attention. :-)

EP 078: Fostering With Love with Darci Buhl

Darci was told at age 19 that she had endometriosis and if she wanted children she would have to act fast.  She faced fertility issues and decided to foster early on because they weren't sure about adoption yet.  The first time they met their first potential foster daughter, her husband fell in love instantly and they ended up adopting her when the option became available!  In the midst of the adoption and fostering process she discovered she was pregnant!  Shortly thereafter she found out she was pregnant AGAIN so within a few years she and her husband went from 0 to 3 children!  They took a few breaks from fostering but as time passed they decided to foster more, and today have 4 children who are official members of their family as well as one more foster daughter- a beautiful girl who smiled at me throughout the whole interview on Darci's lap!

You'll have to hear the whole interview to catch all the amazing details on how they have grown their family and how her heart has changed as a foster mother.  She has seen inside a world with so much need that she yearns to give a home to all the babies, and after our conversation I gave some long hard thought to someday fostering myself.  She is a special amazing person and I just fell in love with her the more she spoke. Her heart is so pure and while it feels like a burden at times to have grown her family this way, to be in the very crazy world of foster parenting, I admire her 100 % and hope she inspires all of you as well!

Thank you Darci for your strong courageous example and for sharing your story with the rest of us!  Have a wonderful Marvelous day mommies!

EP 077: Keepin' It Real with Lana Simmons of The Lana Simmons Podcast

Lana is a fellow podcaster of the Lana Simmons Podcast and she is sharing pieces of her very interesting life on Marvelous Moms Club! She had no idea what a struggle parenting would be for her, and with the added bonus of having a son with Autism she has fought hard to become the Marvelous Mom she is today! She does it all from podcasting to yoga, and has been a chronic dieter for many years. She recently co-hosted the Size Human podcast, but has branched out on her own and can now interview whomever she pleases! EP 076: Mompreneur Monday with Ashley Reeves of Ashley's Fresh Fix

Ashley was so fun to chat with and I loved getting to know her better! I felt like I already knew her pretty well based on all the Periscopes of hers I have seen, but having an opportunity to have a two way conversation was wonderful! She is so smart, full of ideas and a busy mom of four balancing multiple ventures like a pro! From her fresh recipes to her business and branding advice she is showing moms everyday how to be amazing and marvelous- and that's exactly why I asked her to be on the podcast. I loved learning about how she began her journey as a social media influencer and how many years of hard work and love for sharing her passion with others has turned into a substantial income for her family! You can check out her newest e-book series, Blooming to Booming, a 3 book trio full of advice for the budding instagrammer! I purchased it and it was AWESOME! And after you listen to our chat, keep following her over on INSTAGRAM HERE!

Thanks Ashley for being such an open book and sharing your journey with us! We can't wait to see what you keep accomplishing and loved having your shining example as our Mompreneur of the week!

EP 075: Nothing Down About It with Oakley Peterson

What can I say to sum up how incredibly awesome Oakley is? There are no words. I didn't know her at ALL before we chatted for this interview but I fell in love with her instantly. She's so laid back, fun loving and has the most beautiful perspective on life. The mother of three adorable children, one with "up-syndrome" as she lovingly refers to it, her life is insanely busy right now. Just during our call she dealt with a fussy baby, a preschool emergency and a diaper blow-out. It was comical and the total epitome of a day in the life of a marvelous mom. So kudos to her for continuing our chat even when life got a bit nuts!

You may have seen Oakley on social media or maybe have seen her blog, Nothing Down About It. She debunks some misconceptions of what it's like to have a child with special needs including Down Syndrome, which is what her adorable son Welles was born with. Without any prior knowledge of his condition she was not mentally or emotionally prepared for this journey she is now on and turned to the internet for guidance and answers. Finding mostly negative online, she lived in fear and dread for the first few weeks of Welles's life. She also had some well meaning friends offer condolences rather than appreciation for the amazing spirit her son had. She finally concluded something positive had to be put out there on the interwebs to inspire and help mothers in her situation, to realize what a true blessing it is to parent and love a child with "Up-syndrome". The result? An amazing and inspiring glimpse into her beautifully chaotic life full of ups and downs, life lessons and an experiences she'd never trade for anything in the world. I loved it when she said: "You want them to be kind, you want them to show love to others, and hello! He was born with all of those qualities that came so easily to him that don't come so easily to the rest of us. What more could I want for my child?!"

Listen in to our chat to hear even more, to get to know Oakley's family a bit better, and please share with anyone you know who would benefit from this incredibly uplifting example! Thank you Oakley, I have so much love for you and your sweet family and thank you for being a guest, as you are TRULY a MARVELOUS MOM!

EP 074: Conscious Parenting with Sara Exley

I had such a fun time chatting with Sara on the podcast! She is the momma of nine year old boys (whoa) and through her conscious parenting helps other parents in their journey of raising their own children! I love Sara's bio, it really sums up what she does much better than I could: Sara is a Conscious Parent Coach, Meditation Guide, and master of helping parents create effortless cooperation and peace with their children. Sara's unique ability to hold a non-judgmental, deeply safe atmosphere for parents has won her over a thousand fans on Periscope and a booked client roster of parents creating profound shifts in their lives. Shifts like going from conflict to connection, zero power-struggle bed times, seeing their children brush their teeth, do their homework, and clean up without having to be asked (oh yeah!) and enjoying a healthy social life without mom-guilt. Ready to create these kind of results for yourself? Follow Sara on Periscope @Sara_Exley for daily support and meditations or inquire about Private Coaching at on her website Sara Exley

I mean doesn't she sound like someone you wanna hang out with and just soak up all of the good energy she has to share? I am following her on Periscope (of course) and you should too. She's smart as a whip and I guarantee you'll get amazing info from her there and through her personal coaching!  She really helps moms find freedom, and I love how she summed it up when she referred to that freedom: "You're already amazing, you're already deeply committed. You don't need help with that. You just need my help in trusting yourself".  I think it's absolutely amazing (I've said this before) when people are willing to share their skills and what they've learned with others!  It's the driving force behind Mommy Mentoring and why I am so excited to share with all of you Marvelous Moms!

Thanks for sharing some knowledge with us Sara, you're amazing and a completely Marvelous Mom! :)

EP 073: Mompreneur Monday with Corrine Stokoe of Mint Arrow

Corrine is one of my favorite mompreneurs because of her fierce dedication to her business and motherhood! She's someone to follow and watch if you are wanting to achieve any level of success whether it be blogging or otherwise. An industry leader in high end deal finding she has turned her passion for shopping into a full time business, helping other shopaholics feed their habits while staying on track with a budget.

Her biggest goal in life was to become a mother and she is now blessed with two beautiful daughters who keep her just as busy (if not busier) as her business running Mint Arrow.

Today you'll get to hear her story, how she started the blog, why it's so successful and the legacy she wants to leave her children.

All this and SO much more with one amazing Mompreneur who I absolutely loved getting to know better! Thank you Corrine for all of the inspiration, information and love!

Ep 072: Advocating for Parents of Special Needs Children with Jen Dryer

I really love Jen's inspiring story and how she's used her own experiences with her child to help others who may find themselves in the same situation.  Oftentimes we may realize our children might need special attention for behavior or developmental issues but the hardest part is beginning the process or even knowing HOW to start the process of getting them the help they need.  Jen realized that her son, at a very young age was seeming to fall further and further behind in his development and against the urging of others who would insist it might just be because his older sibling talked for him, or that it was totally natural, she knew she had to find out for sure.

Jen's husband's aunt was a helpful advocate for them. She had worked with 0-5 year olds who had hearing issues for 3 decades and seemed a great place to start in evaluating whether hearing might be causing some of their son's delays.  After realizing that was not the issue she pointed them in the right direction and the process began.  Her son ended up being an overachiever, significantly behind in various areas of development.  She has seen him progress in a phenomenal way all thanks to some completely FREE resources that everyone can take advantage of.

So now she advocates for parents, supports them in a journey they were not prepared to take and helps them find the correct places to start.  She is passionate about the process and it shines through as she discusses it with me.  I love that she is serving many more people who are discovering how challenging it can be to navigate the process of helping their children.  She's amazing and I'm so happy to share her story with you today!

Ep 070: Life's Little Miracles with Deborah Clark

Hearing Deborah's story a couple of months ago at a retreat was so moving to me I knew I had to share it here on the podcast.  I love how at a time in her life when she felt that God had forgotten her she found the most amazing blessings as she found the courage to forgive God, and realize all that he had in store for her.  The mother to four amazing children, her story isn't common and she came by her younger two children in a very sweet and miraculous way.  Listen as we chat about her experiences with adoption, realizing how unique the love of a mother is for each child and so much more.  One of my favorite things she touched on was the importance of self care as mothers and how it is when we look inside that we truly find ourselves and realize we were never really lost.  Deborah's story is heartfelt and I so appreciate the faithful way she shares it! Enjoy Marvelous Moms!

Ep 069: Mompreneur Monday with Erin Barbot

Erin is the prime example of a mompreneur who has taken her talents and skills to the next level and found a way to monetize them! After speaking with her I realized how truly limitless everyone's potential is and how possible it is to make money just being yourself!  We are in such a changing society that is full of busy families, so her natural knack for organization and assisting others has not only made her community better, but has provided a great extra income to her family.  Never planning on being a stay at home mom this venture was completely spontaneous but has worked out so well for her, I wanted to share her story with you to inspire you to look inward to find out what makes you a MARVELOUS MOMPRENEUR! Thank you Erin for your inspiration and ambition that will be an example to many other moms who are just starting out or searching for what makes them special!

Ep 068: Living Life Abroad with Expat Mom Akayleia Frehner

My amazing friend Akayleia Frehner is living in Germany with her two adorable sons, which means I don't often get to hear from her or see her. But thanks to modern technology we set up a Skype call so that I could hear all about what raising kids outside of the United States (when you've been raised here) is like! It opened my eyes to some details I'd never have thought of and made me admire her even more than I already did for making such a wonderful life for her family and adding some pizzaz and joy to the German culture!

Come listen as we chat motherhood, international moves and challenges that come with living so far from home!

Ep 066: Mompreneur Monday with Jenna Rammell of Jenna's Kitchen!

Jenna is my kind of girl, I reached out to her and within 24 hours she was on my calendar ready to chat about all things motherhood and being a mompreneur! I loved our extra long chat (and you guys are only getting about half of it) where we talked about some of the effects social media can have on our self esteem, how to find true value and happiness and why you should never assume people don't struggle in life just because they're "popular".  Jenna recently did a Periscope talking about a day she was feeling down, like she wasn't a good mom, not important to anyone etc. She posted about these feelings on Instagram and got a comment from someone who didn't understand how she could feel this way with 70K+followers.  It opened the door to many emotions and I am so happy Jenna continued that thought on the podcast to share it with all of you!

Someone always has more or seems to have more than you do. Why does that make us feel less than?  The whole point of her post was to remember that our lives are made up of so much more than what's online. There is a lot Jenna doesn't share that is reserved for people in her life who are her family friends and HERSELF. And that's ok! I loved getting this glimpse inside the mind of someone who is an online influencer. We sometimes assume they have it all together because of their amazing social media feed. But they feel the same way we do! It's like middle school all over again, you never stop looking around feeling inferior to others. But what's important is to not feed into that!  Realize that your fulfillment will not come from anywhere but within yourself and from those who you love and cherish the most!

Jenna blogs with a couple of her friends over at Small Fry and after a couple of years thanks to some nudging and requests created her own Instagram feed- you might know her from there- Jenna's Kitchen.  She posts her life, her recipes and all kinds of wonderfulness!

I could write up our whole conversation but I'm not going to because you just need to listen to soak up all things Jenna!

Ep 065: Fighting for Joy Through Sorrow with Ani Taylor

I found Ani on my favorite social media platform of all time...can you guess? Yes, Periscope. She was sharing the most incredible experience and her raw emotions as a mother who has experienced loss and I dropped everything I was doing to hear her words and fell in love with her instantly. She has changed lives by sharing her feelings and today you will feel every range of emotions from sadness to joy and gratitude!

Ani and her husband led a very calm and "easy" life until a month after their second daughter Ruby was born. Realizing some things in hear health weren't quite right they were thrown into a whirlwind of chaos where they helped Ruby to fight for her life for several months before losing her to a liver disease she had been born with. Ani shares details of that time in her life as well as the moment she had to let Ruby go. It's a hard listen but it's a beautiful story of a mother's love and how cherished each child is that comes to us, even if just for a short time!

Both Ani and her husband tried to be organ donors to Ruby but the pieces of their livers they could have used were both too large for Ruby's tiny body. They waited for months for an organ to come, dealing with the huge scope of conflicted emotions that accompany that desire. Essentially someone else must lose a child for your child to live. So while you're praying for a miracle you know it will come at the hand of someone's loss. Ani never even thought about the possibility that she would lose Ruby, but was more worried about how Ruby would handle the surgery when a liver did come. She maintained courage and faith through the entire journey and her world was shattered when the miracle shed'd been hoping for did not happen.

I love that Ani expressed that while it seems she didn't get her big miracle in this life to have Ruby survive and get the transplant she needed, the real miracle is that she will get to see her again, that she is her daughter forever and that she got to have that special bond with Ruby while she was on this earth. She feels honored to have been her mother and looks forward to a day when she can see her and snuggle her again.

This chat with Ani as well as all of her periscopes remind me to not complain about the trivial things that come with parenting. There are parents struggling and hurting daily with sick children or loss who would give anything to have their biggest problem be endless poopy diapers or a messy home. If we are trying to put positivity into the world and enjoy all the wonderful things around us we will be creating more joy and positive uplift for those around us!

I asked Ani some tips for friends or family who don't know what to say after a loss. While it seems like the phrases you've heard a lot will be the right thing to say, they can in fact be the hardest for parents who have lost children to hear. For example, "They're in a better happened for a reason..." etc. Things that are GOOD to say... say their name. Talk about how this person impacted your life. Ask about the person, what they were like, any opportunity to let them share about the person they have lost.

I am SO grateful to Ani for sharing her story here and for bridging the gap that so many of us face, whether we are on the side of the spectrum as a mother who has lost a child or on the opposite end wondering how to support and love our dearest friends who are hurting. Stories like these need to be shared more and we need to remember wonderful spirits like Ruby! I love that Ani and her husband started the Ruby Jane Foundation so that they could serve in her name and have an outlet that helped them to heal!

Keep up with Ani and read the whole journey with Ruby on their family blog.

And go check out the Ruby Jane Foundation as well!

Ep 064: Teaching Children Kindness with Victoria Farmer of The Doll Kind

Hey Marvelous Moms! Today is an episode I've been looking forward to sharing with you for a while! I stumbled across The Doll Kind on Instagram months ago and was so intrigued by this new company I reached out and wanted to hear their story! I am sharing the whole back story with you all today and what The Doll Kind is all about!

I absolutely love how this journey began for Victoria, a small moment that helped her realize that people are not born mean, we all come into the world full of kindness and love and at some point we learn how to be unkind. She yearned to ensure her own child could always maintain a spirit of kindness and slowly the idea for The Doll Kind came to her. She teamed up with her amazing friend Jackie who has helped make it even more amazing and together they are spreading kindness to the world and teaching children the joy of service!

So are you intrigued? Have you searched it out on Instagram? The Doll Kind is an amazing movement where you can buy a sweet doll that comes with 10 heart tokens for children to give to people as they desire. And for every doll purchased a child in need will receive a free doll. Everything about this is geared towards service and I cannot WAIT to get mine!
You can go support their Kickstarter campaign which is live TODAY until May 14th!

And Follow The Doll Kind on Facebook and Instagram as well!

Thanks Victoria for hanging out with me and letting me get to know you a bit more! Everyone go support The Doll Kind NOW! There's nothing I love more than seeing a mommy make her dreams come true, especially when that dream makes the world better for her children and the rest of the world.

Ep 062: Baby Steps to Better Health with Michelle Mansfield of Our First Steps

Michelle got me SO ready to conquer some bad habits with baby steps! Just that day I texted her later on and told her I was out on a walk, later in the day than normal but I STILL did it as a result of our chat and how possible she made it sound to make small changes that will have a big effect!

Michelle turned to healthy eating to get pregnant with her daughter and has since helped other women to change their health choices and listen to their bodies so they are not only feeling great but able to function properly and with energy! So much of what we feel and express outwardly is a result of the foods we are putting into our bodies, and no two bodies are identical (obviously) so we cannot all eat according to the same regimen or plan. Healthy eating can help with conception, healthy pregnancy and a healthy lifestyle as a mom. I really like that she acknowledges how difficult it can be to eat well when you are stressed out as a mother but we ALL know what a difference it makes!

Our First Steps is Michelle's blog turned business that gives women the tools the need to have amazing health and to overcome obstacles that are keeping them from living an abundantly happy life!

Thank you Michelle for all the AMAZING information and for sharing a bit of your motherhood journey with us! I need to listen to this on a weekly basis to remind myself how to create better habits and have a healthier lifestyle! :)

Ep 061: Mompreneur Monday with Jenna Wood of Hello Fab

Ep 060: A Mother's Bargain with God- Miracles of Faith with Lara Carlin

You'll need to listen to the full episode to hear every single beautiful miracle that happened for the Carlin family in the past 15 months as they went through one of the hardest experiences of their lives. But for here, for the notes I'm including Miracle #12 that Lara mentioned on the podcast. It's so beautifully written and she articulated everything so well on the podcast, I cannot wait for you to all listen and be inspired by hear beautiful faith! So in her own words:

"Looking back, I suppose the biggest miracle of all, is the fact that our God, the creator of this earth and all of it’s inhabitants thereon would hear my prayers, and provide my family with the miracles we needed. These miracles did not always come exactly how I hoped they would come. And they definately did not come when I had hoped they would come. But they came nonetheless. And our small, insignificant, and ordinary, family was blessed in a very large, significant and extraordinary way. Not only did the heavens open and pour miracles down upon us, but we felt surrounded by hosts of heavenly angels that provided us with peace comfort and strength during the biggest trail of our lives, as well as angels in the form of our friends and neighbors here on earth who quickly headed to our Heavenly Father’s divine inspiration and came to our rescue time and time again."

Thank you Lara for your beautiful words and for allowing me to share your story here on Marvelous Mom's Club!

Ep 058: Honoring and Sharing Your Culture with Sailaja Joshi of Bharat Babies

It is SO fun to take a peek inside other women's dreams and to see them fill needs within their own lives and cultures. Sailaja was awe inspiring to me, I was so excited just chatting with her about her endeavors and the reasons behind why she started her business- Bharat Babies. As an Indian woman raised in the United States with a huge passion for reading she realized later in life that many of the books with Indian characters did not correctly reflect the culture or how her culture works within the United States culture. She went on to create Bharat Babies and has in a short time gone from one book to five books for children of all ages.

Seeing a dream come true for another mompreneur is so inspiring to me and I can't wait to see how Sailaja grows her business. I particularly loved how she is already creating the formula and process for people of other cultures to do the same thing. I think it's wonderful that she acknowledges that it would be inauthentic for her to share their cultural traditions and ways of life and wants to simply create a way for even more diverse texts to come to fruition.

Growing up with a mother who was a teacher and a grandfather who is an author shaped and molded her love for reading. Books have always been a part of her life and as she studied anthropology she realized the lived reality she had as a child is not reflected anywhere in any of the programming she was meant to consume. I admire so much her drive and how she went on to create something that filled that need not only for her own daughter but for all others within her culture!

I LOVE that Bharat Babies is striving to send these books to schools even though there isn't always a budget for it within the school system. Her passion and desire for these books to be enjoyed no matter what is so infectious and I know her service and generosity will payoff tenfold.

Thank you Sailaja for inspiring me and for giving me some AMAZING ideas after I hit stop on the recording! I owe you BIG time! :)

Ep 057: Real Life Learning with Homeschooler Debi Estopellan

Debi was SO much fun to talk to and food for my curious soul! I really enjoyed learning about unschooling for the first time a couple of weeks ago with Bethanie Garcia, so this was an extension of that conversation where I got to see it at the end of the process as her daughter is nearly done with her high school years and moving into her future as an adult.

It's such a fascinating concept and so unfamiliar to me yet so APPEALING to me to not wait until college age to let our children choose what they want to do with their lives. Why do we keep them limited during the years when they are the most likely to explore their passions and what they are prone to love? As a free spirited person who loves now chasing after my dreams, I cannot imagine imposing this stifling lifestyle onto my children when they are young adults!

I really loved hearing how unschooling is actually really against the grain for Debi who is an avid organizer that loves structure. She's not forcing her comfort zone onto her children rather letting them use their curiosity and drive to pursue what they are interested in. I love how that displays selflessness and trust in her children that we all need to have more of!
Thanks so much Debi for sharing your time and insight with me and all the other Marvelous Moms who may want to pursue different avenues with their children's schooling! It was such a pleasure!

Ep 056: Crossing Borders to Complete a Family with Karen Jorgensen

Karen took a very nontraditional route when growing her family. She has experienced some of the most drastic routes parents take to bring children into their homes and I absolutely loved hearing about her journey!

Fertility issues made it hard to get her first daughter here, but they were able to conceive and bring her into their family biologically. When they started suspecting some of the same patterns with fertility they decided to jump right ahead into the adoption route. The adoption happened rather fast and with two children now in their home she felt a little while later that she still needed more children.

Listen to hear the complete story of how she adopted from Haiti and the nightmarish ride her family went on trying to bring her son and daughter to the United States so that they could be a complete family!

Stories like these are so fascinating and I love how motherly love transcends tradition, race and culture and that when you know a child is yours you just cannot deny it. Karen's story is inspiring to me and I know there are many more mothers who desire to adopt from countries outside the U.S.

Her account will both bring you an awareness of the realities behind international adoption and remind you the lengths mothers go to for their children, biological or otherwise!

Thank you Karen for the amazing peek inside your adventures that led to such a happy beautiful family!

Ep 055: Listening to Inspiration with Mother, Author, Teacher and Cancer Survivor Kristin Bryant

Kristin's story is so raw, real and inspiring to me and I could picture myself being in her exact situation feeling her exact feelings if I were to be given the same trials to overcome. After signing a book deal for a fiction novel she had written and passionately worked on she noticed a mass on her breast. Suspecting the worst due to the urgency of the "push" or prompting she felt she was not surprised to learn it was breast cancer.

With two young children at home already and not feeling that she was done having kids, she was faced with another obstacle, choosing whether or not to go through IVF treatments to preserve her eggs for future pregnancies. She again felt a very strong push and went through the treatments to keep her future babies lives safe. She compared that time in her life to standing alone on an island with a volcano about to erupt and giving her future children an opportunity to be born while she weathered the eruption. Such a beautiful analogy and one that made me cry until we were done speaking.

Kristin shares the process of writing her book and it's amazing concept and how she's writing it's sequel for her devoted fans! Her book deal kept her going through the hardest of days. It's one I'm excited to read!

And the IVF treatment paid off, exactly one year after her cancer was gone she had the embryos put in and surprise! Twins!

She said it so beautifully when she explained that rarely does cancer give anything back. It usually just takes away, so for it to have given her the gift of her twins, if that was the only way they could have come then it was worth every step.

Kristin's courage, tender heart and motivation to lead such an amazing and fulfilled life is so inspiring to me, and I am honored to share her story with you!

Ep 053: Mommy Talk, Inspiration, Preparation and Tradernation with Katelyn Cheo

Katelyn was such a delight to talk to! I absolutely loved getting to know her and you will too in today's episode! Katelyn has a pretty amazing instagram account that you'll love if you are a Trader Joe's fan- you can find that HERE

I love connecting with other mothers as the host of this podcast because it fulfills me and reminds me that I'm not alone in any of my perceptions or excitement in this journey of being a mom. Katelyn's perspective on motherhood really resonated with me and I'm excited for you to hear about everything we chatted about from kids names to homeschooling adventures.

I LOVED hearing about how she has a little mommy meeting by herself at Starbucks with her books, planner and everything else she needs to be prepared for the week and then does her Target and Trader Joe's run right after. DUH! We all should do this! When do mommy's get a break? Oh...never? Let's remedy that ok? Tell your husband's it was your friend Katelyn's idea and she's really happy and her husband LOVES letting her have that time so they have food in the house, a happy wife...whatever you need to say to sell it. :)

I imagine Katelyn being that totally organized amazing mom you look at and think, "How the heck does she do it?", and this episode gave me a great glance into her life and some ideas on how I can get on top of (and stay on top of) my daily life!

I honestly can't wait to have a beach day and hang out at Disneyland with Katelyn, it's such a blessing to find a mother who inspires you and Katelyn does that for me!

And once again guys- go check out TRADERNATION!

Ep 052: Double the Love with Twin Mommy Brittney Schauerhamer

Brittney had dreams of becoming a mother- but was prepared to wait a bit longer than six months into her marriage to start a family. But as life likes goes- she was thrown a curveball and found out she was pregnant!

Just as she had gotten used to the idea that she would be a mother- life threw another curve ball at her 17 week appointment and revealed that she'd have twice the opportunity to learn motherhood- surprise! It was TWINS!

Listen to how she went from newlywed to mom of two sweet babies born at only 32 weeks with NICU care and how she balanced her time to devote her heart to both of her new littles.

I loved hearing about how life has changed even now with them being 18 months old and to see that she's clearly survived the sleepless fog that overtook her life for the first several months of the twins being part of the family. Hearing her speak now you'd never guess she had ever felt unprepared for motherhood! Her enthusiasm and love for her kids is intoxicating and I loved hearing all about her adventures as a twin mom!

If you or someone you know is expecting multiples this is a great one to share! Some of the little things I'd never think of are explained as well as the joy behind being a mother to multiples and the lessons she's learning along the way! Thank you Brittney for sharing your unique journey into motherhood!

Ep 051: Flying Solo- Adventures of a Marvelous Single Mom

Kate is one of the strongest people I know- and I've followed her life through social media for over a decade now- through beautiful amazing memories and staggering heartbreak. I've watched her navigate through territory nobody ever expects and have seen her grow into her role as a single parent with grace and humor.

Life never goes according to plan, even after years of planning! Kate never expected to find herself 8 months pregnant moving back in with her parents as her marriage ended. But that was her reality and a few years later she is now rocking it as only Kate can rock- working to support her insanely handsome little boy Gray and to pass along her love for adventure to him.

Come listen to hear more about her story- her "Saturdates" and what her plans for the future are!

Thank you Kate for being an amazing guest and sharing your story with us! It was so fun getting to know you for REAL :)

Ep 050: Facing and Fighting Fear to Live a Life of Joy

Heidi is someone I've admired and watched for a few years now, her photography skills are mad crazy good- and she is actually the photographer who took over our studio lease in Southern Utah when we moved here to California. She has made it far more than we ever did and I am captivated by her images of babies and children that are just flawless and beautiful.

Beyond that I knew very little about her until she sent me a message one day on Facebook asking about the podcast and the ins and outs- curious about whether she might be up for starting her own. She has her own story of courage and overcoming her fears that were a part of her makeup for as long as she can remember. She's always been anxious and scared of things in life that would be normal for most others. And that fear carried into her teens and young adulthood until she decided enough was enough and she wanted to take control of her life.

Through family struggles, health issues and regular growing pains that life throws at you she has conquered many of her fears and created a life full of success and love. She is a marvelous mom and I'm happy to share her story with you!

Ep 049: Kindness and Love Begin with ME

Today it's me- Kirsten, the host of this marvelous podcast talking about some of the tender moments I've experienced this week as a mother- and talking REAL about how difficult this job can be at times. How exhausting and draining it is and how easy it is to revert to negativity. How HUMAN it is to feel down, to feel like a failure and to want to wallow in those feelings. And also how insanely rewarding it is to jump outside of that mentality to more amazing feelings of love and pure joy. Being a mother gives us the capacity to feel any and all emotions in the course of one single day. In one moment really. And it's what we choose to do with these amazing emotions that decides the types of mothers we are, the happiness of our children and the peace we feel in our homes. I keep learning- every single day I make mistakes and wonder why it can't come easier. But nothing worth doing is easy- and I'm learning to LEARN from my kids and to take cues from them. I'm realizing the power of positive thought and positive words- how building up a child with love and tenderness is far more rewarding than cutting them down or trying to "fix" them.

Enjoy today's episode- I know I enjoyed recording it for you and sharing some of the most sweet feelings of motherhood love

Ep 048: I Can Do Hard Things with Cancer Survivor Desirae Ogden

Cancer- it's such a dirty word and brings with it so much fear and negativity. So many people have lost their lives to cancer and even more have survived and gone on to thrive in a new sort of way. Desirae is a breast cancer survivor and had a long battle with it resulting in double mastectomy and even hysterectomy. With four young children she was faced with one of her hardest life struggles to date and learned many lessons that can be passed along to all of you!

Faith in God, family and friends and an amazing support system and blogging were her biggest tools in staying positive and fighting through the yucky days to survive not only the cancer but the effects thereof afterwards.  She started something called "pink days" where family and friends would send pictures in of them wearing pink, sending her love and support which made the entire process much less painful.  Most cancer patients either keep the whole process very private or share it all to help them cope. Desirae was a talker and on top of blogging her journey she kept a journal which led to her "accidental book" that she self published- One Day at a Time- My Journey with Cancer. When going through her own personal struggles she felt that at the time there was really nothing with a spiritual base that could help her get through her fight with cancer- so her book fills a need she felt she had when she was in the middle of the hard days. And as she said, we all have a cancer of sorts so this book can really benefit everyone faced with hard challenges!

Beyond just the struggle with cancer she has had a lot of mental healing to do- can you imagine living knowing cancer is always playing a silent role in your life? The fear that could overtake you if you always worried it would come back? The PTSD you'd experience when recalling the awful moments spent during the darkest days? It think it's so important  that Desirae put that out there- it's so much more than cancer- it changes you for the rest of your life. The life you are SO grateful to be living!

Something I think we can all take away from episodes like this is the reminder that life is SO precious. Be it our own lives, the lives of our children and those we love, we need to let the small things go and appreciate each breath we take because we never know how long we'll be allowed to enjoy this beautiful life. Let the messes and piles go- hold your kids and love each moment spent with them.

I loved hearing how it was hard for Desirae to believe her family could function without her there 100% as she recovered and fought cancer. I think too often we try to do it all- to be everything for everyone and it's important to allow people to serve US sometimes. To realize that someday we want to give service with a heart full of selfless love and to feel the love of others as they are striving to lift some of our burdens. There are earthly angels all around us waiting for a chance to help us!

You can keep up with her blog and ever evolving journey HERE ON HER BLOG!

Thank you Desirae for sharing your message- that we ALL can DO HARD THINGS! Your story is inspiring and I am so thankful you have written your book and will help to lighten other people's burdens in this life!

Ep 047: Dreaming and Seemingly Unconventional Parenting with Bethanie Garcia

Ep 046: Opening the Door to Love with Nicole "Scoprah" Walters of The Monetized Life

Nicole Walters aka "Scoprah" is an amazingly talented and successful business woman who has inspired thousands of people to go after their dreams and achieve a monetized life. What does that mean exactly? It means that no matter how much experience you have in business it is possible to monetize. Whether it be monetizing your appearance and the looks you display on Periscope or monetizing a seemingly fruitless business, she gives people the tools to become financially free through her website and her wildly sought after program 1K1Day. But that's not her whole story. And it's not even the best PART of her story. The thing I love most about Nicole is that she is first and foremost a MOTHER.

Nicole is my age and has three "tinies" as she likes to call them. They are foster daughters she opened her home to when their biological mother was facing struggles with addiction and a period of incarceration. Rather than let these three sisters go into the foster system and possibly be split up she and her husband (or hubbin' as she lovingly refers to him on Periscope) took in all three girls, 16, 13 and 4.

Today she is striving to give them they life they deserve. They have gone from days of not having three square meals to knowing that a college education is possible. They have a home filled with love, structure and knowledge. With Nicole as their foster mother they have doors opening to them daily and the cycle of limiting beliefs they might have been subjected to has been stopped.

One of my favorite moments was realizing that while Nicole is not biologically tied to these daughters, she understands that deep rooted love that comes with parenting. She looks at her girls and doesn't know how anyone can doubt the existence of God- in those girls she sees everything that is beautiful and right with the world. It's a joy that only mothers know. And it proves that children need not be flesh and blood, our souls are linked and that maternal instinct is so inherent and beautiful!

Nicole has achieved large amounts of success in the last 7 months, beginning when she quit her job live on Periscope in front of 10,000 people. She left behind a pretty comfortable job to pursue her dreams of entrepreneurship full time and to give those corporate strategies to regular every day people who were striving for success. People like me. Her passion for what she does is wonderful for two reasons. 1. She really genuinely wants people to be happy and successful in their businesses and lives, and 2. Her motivation for her own success goes far deeper than her own rank or bank balance. She knows that if her girls attend college she'll be the one cutting the check. And even now while they are all home she knows it's imperative they have a loving and comfortable home- complete with black shutters and a red door.

Listen in with us and hear even more about her journey, her struggles in motherhood and how she applies the principles of entrepreneurship to parenting and how you can too!

Thank you Nicole for being an open book and inspiring me and so many others to work hard towards making our dreams come true- as people and especially as mothers! You are truly a MARVELOUS MOM!

EP 045: Nurturing Bright and Energetic Kids with Michelle Gornichec

Michelle is Marvelous to me and has been an example of how to nurture some of those characteristics in our children we may not fully understand or appreciate. As a mother with children the same age I have observed how she has dealt with her oldest son and his energetic spirit. I was blown away once when I saw a video she had posted online of her son Carter working with flashcards and naming all the capitals of countries. It could have been one of those moments that made me feel like a failure as a mom but it actually fueled me to work harder and to find out how I could hone some of Connor's skills (since he keeps me on my crazy toes). It led me to buying some really cool technical toys he loved that tapped into that engineering obsession side of his brain. (You can see one of my faves below).

Sometimes we are blessed with gifted children who blow us away with their intellect and sleek learning curve. I love how Michelle described moments when her son asks her questions and she either makes up an answer or says she doesn't know, to which he replies "No mom, this is the right answer." He already knows! Can any of you relate? Do you feel totally unfit to be teaching such bright kids with a quick learning ability? I know that some of the struggles I've had as a parent are from not understanding what to do with all the energy and curiosity of my kids. Not realizing those things that drive me nuts are actually the things that make them completely brilliant! Having people like Michelle to watch helps to realize there is SO much we can do for our skills to enhance their God given talents and traits!

Ep 044: I Am Marvelous Because...

Hello lovely ladies! Today I'm talking about a reconciliation of sorts that has happened for me emotionally as a mother in the past few days. Before I started this podcast I was a lot like most moms. I catered to my kids, loved getting out of the house and hated cleaning. I still hate cleaning but because I've been so absorbed in the podcast and all that goes with it I haven't been getting out as much. In fact when I go out it's for a REALLY good reason. We don't even go out to eat much anymore. We try to plan our time so carefully that there's little opportunity for wasted moments. And that's not to say we don't have FUN! It's rare but we do watch the occasional movie, we go outside for walks and play at the park, we go shopping etc. But we used to be going out and about EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

I would go to Disneyland weekly with my kids by myself. We would have zoo days in San Diego, and during the summer we are at the beach at least 3 days per week. What's changed? I became laser focused on my goals and we have all been so much better for it! We all work hard, we have fun and we value all of our time not just part of it. We love weekends and live for family time and a chance to do things together.

But the other day I realized I sort of miss that spontaneous version of myself that had no cares in the world and could just skip around town, spend hours at Target and go grocery shopping 3 days per week. I miss the unplanned park visits, the play dates with friends and the long Disney days. I love my work- but I love those past moments too. So I'm chatting today about one thing that makes me Marvelous- my ability to have FUN with my kids. And whether that's reading to them or checking out 500 books from the library because I want to teach them ALL the things, or dropping it all to have an adventure day, I just LOVE that I have kids to play with and create memories with!

I'm finding a way right now to bring both worlds together a bit more and to let that spontaneity fly it's flag a bit higher. I can't wait to bring the carefree me and the hard working me together- I think magic will happen...

EP 043: A Guide for Determined Moms with Caroline Greene

Caroline had the traditionally perfect life, great job, healthy family, thriving in every way. But something was missing and she searched out a different path for her life. Today you can find her mothering her two daughters from home as she coaches other moms and helps them build their businesses that work for them! She shifted to a life of purpose and is now living that amazing purpose and helping other women do the same, whether it be a start up or a budding empire, she's using her skills and expertise to empower women all over!

I love when Caroline talked about how she had to learn to receive- learning to receive praise joy, love and God's abundance so that it can overflow from her to her family and children! How easy is it to get hung up on the discomfort of receiving and being blessed? And on the flip side how cool is it to feel the joy that comes from receiving all these things and allowing them to bless us in even bigger ways?

I also love how she touched on the fact that we are actually doing the best we can- it's not all moments we are proud of but we are doing the best we can in the moment. And those moments of "failure" are the ones that push us to become better, kinder and stronger mothers for our children. The growing is all a part of the process!

Something I've been talking a lot about lately is how important it is to love yourself before you can give love to your families and children. I love how Caroline really drove this home and explained how critical it is to take care of ourselves, to be kind to ourselves and to allow that growth to carry over into every aspect of our lives!

Caroline has two amazing books out and it was fun hearing how much thought and meaning went into the covers of each book. Listen in to find out more!

EP 042: Losing a Child and Coping with Grief with Tiffany Hebb

This is not an easy one to listen to friends- it's a real and very RAW story about every mother's worst nightmare- losing a child. And Tiffany lays it all out there without reservation. My heart breaks a little more every time I hear this story and I hold each of my babies a little closer to me. The strength that Tiffany has had to acquire to make it through this life without her first born Ollie is incredible and speaking to her you'd never know right away what she has faced in her life. And while she'll never be completely "over it" and still hurts in only the place grieving mothers can understand, she is sharing her story and healing day by day and is a MARVELOUS mom to her two children still living on this earth.

Her story is one of faith, faith that there is a beautiful life beyond this world where her son waits for her, faith that it was his time to go, and faith that she can carry on and be the mother God intended her to be to her other children. I love that she meditates and allows herself to go to a place of quiet peace where she can feel those tender feelings and inspiration that draw her even closer to her son. I love that she expresses herself in such a beautiful way and is helping other parents to heal through her blog and other connections.

I hope she will carry on and do her own podcast for grieving parents. It's a life struggle that far too many people are acquainted with and like any other trial, people need other people to get through the darkest days to find light and joy again. If you know anyone who would benefit from a podcast like this please reach out to me and I'll let Tiffany know how strong the need is for a message like this to be shared continuously.

You can follow Tiffany's journey and read stories of her family on their blog- The Hebbs.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening up and sharing those tender feelings you have with other Marvelous Moms!

EP 041: Attacking Struggles with Jackie Richards

Jackie is AMAZING and hearing her story reminded me that I should NEVER complain over a headache or mild discomfort in my life. She is battling pain each day with diagnosed Rheumatoid Arthritis which makes even opening a baby bottle an overwhelming task. Talk about a motivational person who makes me want to be better every time I talk to her!

Jackie and I connected through the marvelous world of Periscope- and if you're still not on there-WHY NOT? You are missing out on some amazing women with incredible stories! All you need to do is follow me and see who I'm following to check out the amazing world of "Scope Sisters" who are encouraging each other and rooting for each other from the comforts of home! You can find me @marvelous_moms and Jackie: @jack_attacks_ra

Jackie has been in tough situations trying to weigh the pros and cons with medication while pregnant and after the birth of her son who came prematurely. She finally came to the point where she no longer wants to rely on medication to make her feel better- she wanted to take her health into her own hands and see if her diet and exercise habits could lead to a healthier and happier body. And I want to say- this cannot be an easy task with a body that screams out in pain when she pushes too hard. The patience that would be required is mind boggling. Don't you just LOVE how strong the women of this podcast are? It inspires me in the deepest way!

I love that Jackie touched on the fact that no matter whether we have an autoimmune disease or NOT we all have a struggle in life, and we all need to learn to love ourselves. "It's ironic that my body hates my body". She firmly believes that her body started believing the words she told herself. I'm so happy she's rewiring her beliefs and realizing how much power she has in her mind! To hear her say those words was so exciting and made me so happy.

Something I love about social media is the ability to follow someone's journey right in the middle of it. I can't wait to see Jackie work hard to accomplish her goals and share her process with us all! You can follow her on her instagram account HERE.

Thank you Jackie for sharing your story with everyone and for being an amazing mommy friend who is dedicated to the same cause! I love you!

EP 040: When Life Gets Hard to Stand, Just Keep on Rollin' with Meg Johnson

Meg's story is one of the most inspiring and amazing stories I've ever had on the podcast. You would never know from her attitude and insanely beautiful smile that she has endured the most painful and life changing obstacles. She lives life in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the chest down with use of her arms but not hands. For many people that would be the end of hope, dreaming, LIVING. But for Meg that's not the case. She has pushed through the frustration, anger and pain to find herself smack dab in the most beautiful and happy life, filled with more joy than most people ever experience who never face the challenges she has faced!

I loved talking with her about what REAL paralysis is- not believing or having hope and completely giving up on life. Paralysis of the mind can be much more crippling than physical paralysis. How many people do you know who are similar to Meg and have chosen to rise above their struggles and become the strongest people you know? And how many people do you know that have given up too soon or have resorted to a life of mental paralysis? Which one do you want to be?

You can read Meg's full post here about her two questions she says will help you through any trial: "What can I learn from this, and who can I help?" I love this amazing perspective and plan to start implementing it into my daily life! And while you're at it just check out her whole website- she's an amazing woman and has made a huge impact on the world including creating the Miss

I loved her approach to prayer as well, not praying to avoid problems, but praying to be a good problem solver. It puts so much more control into our hands with the help of a higher power. We can't sit around waiting for life to be perfect- we have to work hard to create the lives we want and thank God for His hand in all of it!

And one of my favorite things she shared with me- don't make a "to-do" list, make a "ta-da" list! We've talked about lists here before in the Marvelous Moms community and it is SO important to praise ourselves and be proud of our accomplishments than shaming ourselves for not getting it all done! So everyone change those to do's to TA DA'S! :)

Listen in to hear all the rest of the juicy stuff we chatted about including her experience with a real live angel. :) Thanks Meg for sharing your love and amazing attitude with everyone on the podcast! You're absolutely MARVELOUS!

EP 039: Investing In Your Children

Today I'm talking about an interesting analogy between the crazy world of business investing and investing in an even more promising future- our children!

It's a short and sweet one today- I recorded this live on periscope for my fellow scoping friends and would love for you to follow me there to keep up on the daily duties that come with running this amazing podcast and maintaining my best role as a marvelous mom to my kids! Ep 038: Creating Your Creativity with Bev Feldman

I really enjoyed this little chat because so often I don't give myself credit for the levels of creativity I have. I consider myself a creative person but I think the days of pinterest and serious style have thrown me off my game.

I'm by no means a crafty or creative person when it comes to art. I was so proud when I learned how to do some elementary school level stuff in college- it's just not my thing. But I'm creative in MANY other ways! And so are you!

In Bev's book, The busy Mom's Guide to Creativity she teaches and shows moms of all creative types how they can utilize the talents and tools already given to them. It really blows the lid off of my perception of the "creative mom" type and how even keeping my kids from throwing tantrums can really illustrate my creativity.

I love how well her messages blend with the messages of the Marvelous Mom's Club community. Doing things that make YOU happy will make you a BETTER mom! Can you believe that? It's true.

Bev is an avid jewelry maker, an entrepreneur and mommy to a beautiful little girl! Listen in to our chat about her book, her crafting journey and how she's developed her skills to pay her bills! :)

Ep 037: Following BIG Dreams with Megen McBride

Megen is a big time inspiration to me. Talk about following your dreams and not letting "life" get in the way of the life that truly makes you happy. Not only has she become a mother to five amazing children, she is now a student in the middle of a 4 year program at a Naturopathic Medical school in San Diego.

In the middle of her mommy years with three children she thought she was done having children since it had become difficult to get pregnant. Seven years after her third child was born she finally had another child and it was after that birth that she decided she wanted to go back to school to finish the education necessary to put her in the career she'd always dreamed of. And it was days before her schooling started that she discovered she was pregnant AGAIN with her fifth child! She didn't let that hold her back and simply took the education slowly allowing her to still be the mother she wanted to be.

It's always a blessing to have a strong support system and especially when that support comes from a spouse or significant other. With a busy thriving family Megen is able to "do it all" with the encouragement of his husband as well as a close friend who gives her the time she needs to conquer her world. And truly her family IS thriving and she's giving an amazing example to her children of what it looks like to work hard to achieve your dreams.

I was so inspired by Megen and really wish she wasn't SO busy so we could hang out on the beach together! But until she's done with her program I'll have to politely wait my turn to have her attention :) I'm just happy she made time to chat with me and share her interesting life story! It really illustrates the importance and POSSIBILITY of following your dreams!

Ep 036: Educating and Empowering Kids with Dina Alexander

Dina is the director of an amazing program called Educating and Empower Kids. Together with her organization they have written three books that will help you talk to your kids about some of life's most challenging topics. I loved talking with her about screen time and how my personal usage is impacting my kids and their perceptions of what is acceptable. My mind was blown in the best way possible when she opened up about sex talk with our kids and being the first person they get their information from. I realized how much I have ahead but feel less alone and daunted by the task I have as a mother in sharing these important and valuable lessons with my kids thanks to her words both live and in the books we discussed.

Being a parent is overwhelming and we all wish we had a guide or manual to help us. I honestly feel that this organization and these books are just what every parent needs to navigate the twisty paths of parenthood and give us an incredible advantage to be as marvelous as we want to be. I loved Dina's enthusiasm and passion for motherhood and how she used that to fuel an even bigger cause helping parents all over the world! Thank you for the motivating and amazing information Dina!!! Can't wait to have you back!

Ep 035: Planning Ahead for Successful Parenting with Emilee Hatch

I know the title seems really intimidating- and we all know that no parent feels like a major success all of the time. But we all find some pretty amazing results when we think ahead and plan for a good outcome!

Emilee has some serious planning skills and always accounts for the small details. Due in part to her educational background and the years she spent nannying, she approached parenting with a plan and was prepared with ways she would use that plan in the raising of her own kids.

She worked very hard to help her son Seth when she realized he was struggling with his speech and communication skills. I watched her tackle the problem head on and saw the fruits of her hard work. I still see them every day and am in constant awe at how devoted she is to her children, the things she is teaching them already and how disciplined she is at sticking to her plan. Not that she doesn't incorporate flexibility and fun into their lives- she's the queen of park dates and can calm and soothe any child and help them see rationally! But you can tell there's something different about her- something MARVELOUS that you wish you could bottle up and use in your own parenting.

Thank you Emilee for sharing your perspective on parenting and life! You are one of my greatest examples of motherhood!

Ep 034: Do You Know the Secrets of Life?! No really- do you?

I may or may not be a little bit enthused today talking to you about life, secrets of life and the importance of working your tooshie off to achieve your goals!

I often look around me and wonder if people know what I am just learning or if they need me to teach them! I am thirty years old and until the past few months had no idea what I was doing. I was- as Napoleon Hill puts it- a drifter. I thought I was working hard. But I wasn't working nearly as hard as I work now. I wanted money and success for our family but had no idea that my own mindset was getting in the way of that!

As a mother I know that the level my family thrives at is dependent upon the levels I am at. I set the tone, I create the foundation and I am teaching them in thought, deed, EVERYTHING. I can't fall short of my goal to be marvelous! I just can't. And neither can you!

Head to join the club. Join the Facebook group, follow me on instagram and periscope and start learning all the tools you need to become truly MARVELOUS! You have it in you right now, THIS moment. So stop waiting for someone to hand you a golden ticket and get your work pants on and start digging. Only you can make the life you dream. Only you can make yourself a MARVELOUS MOM!

Ep 033: Cultivating Love and Safety for a Happy Blended Family

Ep 032: Encouragement from a Military Spouse with Author Jen McDonald

Jen was so fascinating to talk to, I loved delving deeper into homeschooling, and getting a small insight into her life as a military spouse. I'm always in awe of these mothers who have the flexibility to live a very nomadic life, never knowing what the future might hold. It's so outside of my realm of comfort that it's just so fun to hear it from the perspective of someone who has lived it. Jen has lived in 13 different states and countries throughout her life as a military spouse and as such has spent the last 20 years homeschooling her four children!

Homeschooling is not what it used to be and is quickly becoming a way of life I'm incredibly turned on to. I love how she sums it up in an article that was featured on Good Housekeeping- homeschooling gives your children a lot more time to pursue their passions and interests. It gives them the ability to work through boredom to figure out what they really want to do with their lives. What appeals to me most is that via homeschooling you can literally live ANYWHERE in the world and still educate your children in a very consistent way.

Jen is a published author with an incredible new book, "You Are Not Alone: Encouragement for the Heart of a Military Spouse".
It is both inspiring and honest- a practical guide and help for any military spouse.

Thank you Jen for sharing your experiences and perspective with me! It was so eye opening and I can't wait to hear all about your new journeys ahead including running a half marathon and becoming a new grandma!

Ep 031: Healing Our Hearts Through Service and Love

Miranda is my sweet and wonderful sister in law who I convinced to share her story on the podcast. Her journey to motherhood was a long, painful and bittersweet one full of many twists and turns.

Through 7 pregnancies she has been blessed with two living children, two of the cutest boys I know (and not just because I'm biased). She has climbed out of the darkest emotional place to a place of complete power and joy.

Finding herself at the bottom of a very deep emotional well she realized that as low as she was, someday she would be amazing and could reach the very opposite end of the spectrum to reach heights she never would or could have if not for these experiences that had knocked her all the way to the bottom.

Miranda has become a powerhouse of knowledge, love, health and service using her experiences and struggles to bless the lives of others. She has been led to cross paths with many mothers who needed her unique perspective in their lives as they faced similar struggles. Choosing to not wallow in her pain, but rather help those who needed her she has found healing and peace in serving. It's a powerful blessing and one I admire greatly in her. You will find out quickly why I think she's a marvelous mom and why her story belongs here on the podcast!

Ep 030: Giving Yourself Grace with Kim Stoddard of The Small Seed

It's amazing we condensed so much goodness into one short conversation. It's like the most incredible can of soup ever. Weird analogy I know, but this lady just has it all. Brains, talent, spirit and the most intoxicating energy that had me giggling the rest of the morning!

Kim is most famously known for working as a collaborator on The Small Seed, an inspirational and uplifting website/instagram feed to find amazing messages from amazing women. Sound familiar? Yeah pretty similar to Marvelous Moms Club, which is why I am so drawn to it! Kim's hayseed farmer's wife background gives her the perfect perspective to help cultivate and plant these spiritual seeds with women from all over the world. Ok not hayseed- this is not life on the prairie (but wouldn't that be even more fun to imagine?) rather modern day legit farming!

Her husband left corporate litigation to continue on the family farm because despite how much he loved law, he missed harvest and tractor riding. So side by side they planted their roots in Idaho where she is completely content and at home!

Kim also keeps herself rather busy with one of my favorite creations ever- Lulu Kids Books! Printable busy books that will keep your kids busy for HOURS! And this week only she is running a special sale for us MARVELOUS MOMS! So head to the site to snag yours!

The Small Seed has an incredible collaborative challenge going on right now #choosingtolovemyself. It's time to see ourselves as God sees us and they are starting a movement in which for 18 days you cannot say anything mean to yourself. Challenging? You bet! Amazing? Oh yes. Head to to learn more about it and get involved!

Thank you Kim, I loved everything about our talk and am truly so impressed by all you are accomplishing in your life as a wife, friend, business owner and of course- MOTHER!

Thank you for sharing a bit of YOUR grace with the rest of us. It was an honor!

Ep 028: Mum to Millionaire with Veena V

Guys I'm not one to send you somewhere else when you're here in podcast land but if you have to go ANYWHERE else, the place to hang out is with Veena V on Mum to Millionaire. Her gorgeous accent and bubbly personality will hook you from the start and you'll feel like Veena is your best friend. You'll be rooting for her to succeed. And you'll be inspired to do something yourself!

I loved talking about our big plans for the future now that we are friends. Real life The Holiday coming your way in February 2017 and you best believe it's going to HAPPEN!

Leaving her day job where she was really left with pennies rather than a real future, she has gone out on her own and started multiple ventures. With her adorable "energetic" son by her side she is making her dreams come true. I can't wait to see her hit millionaire status!

Thanks Veena- you're amazing and I'm so happy to consider you a friend now!

Ep 027: Don't Take Yourself Seriously! With Megan Silianoff

Megan has overcome some of the biggest obstacles people face- like the big kahuna ones that people usually only get one of. She is a cancer survivor who has had so many surgeries she can't keep them straight, and also went through the adoption process to become a mother to her amazing daughter.

The most amazing thing she said during our chat was, "You can take your situation seriously without taking yourself seriously." How profound is that? How often do we think the two go hand in hand?

Enjoy our chat about her thriving business, blog, books she's written and how she took a crazy trip all alone to Africa and what she is excited to do next!

Ep 026: Level Up Your Momness! With Jayna Neilson

Jayna- AKA Supermom was so delightful to chat with about being a newbie mom, the challenges of kids with food allergies (ok that's not glamorous but it's important!) and leveling up when it comes to phases of motherhood.

A former lady wrestler (in high school) who is willing to try just about anything you ask her to, she is an inspiration to me to think outside the fitness box and realize how many fun ideas there are in the world of activity! She is totally disconnected (in the best way possible) from social media and I even schooled her a bit about the world of Snapchat! She invests in real face time with her kids and might explain the mentality behind those friends of ours we all have who take days to text us back. :)

You'll enjoy her sweet and welcoming voice as she talks about her personal experiences and trials, and will feel like you've just had a heartwarming chat with one of your best friends. Listen in and be uplifted!

Ep 025: Parenting in the Present Moment with Dr. Carla Naumburg

Carla Naumburg, PhD, is a clinical social worker, writer, and mother. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Huffington Post, among other places. Carla is the author of READY, SET, BREATHE: PRACTICING MINDFULNESS WITH YOUR CHILDREN FOR FEWER MELTDOWNS AND A MORE PEACEFUL FAMILY and PARENTING IN THE PRESENT MOMENT: HOW TO STAY FOCUSED ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS. Carla is a contributing editor for, and she lives outside of Boston with her husband and two young daughters.

I loved talking with her on the podcast about how to utilize some of the tools she discusses in her book. I had some proud moments when I realized there are times without trying that I am practicing mindfulness. Ever since our talk I have been super aware of teaching my children to NOTICE instead of PAY ATTENTION.

Ep 024: Living for Naptime with Chrystie Vachon

I love how Chrystie became a blogger in the days of what she refers to as "The internet wild west". A true pioneer in blogging she has come a long way since her first blog and has since sold 4 blogs. Sold blogs? Yep, that's right-sold. She worked hard to create a solid product and following and sold them! Her most recent blog landed her on Extreme Couponing, which is SO COOL! She eventually sold the blog last year, made a pretty solid amount on, and has had the luxury this past year to figure out what she wants to do next with her life! And of course, being the mompreneur she is, she's spreading her wealth of knowledge with other mommy bloggers who want to make some money during...can you guess...? NAP TIME! :)

A storyteller by trade, Morgan has had her photographs and writings featured in over seventy-five publications including both web and print . Morgan is a Military Spouse and mother of three, ADORABLE kids, see the picture? I'm serious they're crazy cute. Morgan has made it her life's work to promote the ideology that every day life is beautiful and meaningful. If you can't find her singing Justin Timberlake's greatest hits, she might be shooting hoops in the nearest gym, or pretending to train for a marathon.

Last year her husband was deployed while she was home with a newborn baby and two other very young children, for 10 months. Through the support of family and friends, church, and some really strong faith she made it through that and many other trials throughout the year.

Erika Shupe of Large Families on Purpose is the amazing mother of 9 children!

Erika talks about how planning and preparation make all the difference no matter the size of your family. Realizing your day is like a map, you have 24 hours in a day, how will you use those hours? I really like the way she brought awareness to the fact that we can't set all these expectations for ourselves and feel like failures at the end of the day. We have to be realistic, have a plan and implement the plan!

Ep 20: "I'll Always Go to Bat For My Kids"- with Beth Olsen

Beth is a long time friend, and someone who before she even know who I was, was a person I admired. She has always had such a beautiful energy and spirit and on top of that, she's a radiant beauty. I knew she's be an incredible mom, and I was right.

Beth is the mother of four beautiful perfect children (I can say they're perfect right?) and she may not remember saying this to me once but when she gushed over having a son and how she loved that he was her "little boyfriend" I knew I was in for great things as I was expecting my first son. The love she had for her little boy was contagious and some of her words have carried me through some very hard days.

Beth and her family have worked hard to make life wonderful for each of their children, but especially their oldest son Garrett who was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome at the age of 4. Now almost 5 years later, her efforts have gone above and beyond and she truly exhibits all the qualities of a marvelous mom. For that reason I'm sharing some of her story with you!

Ep 019: Slow down! Smell the ocean!

Today I'm talking a little bit about a collection of moments that happened to remind me that I really need to slow down and smell the ocean. You don't have to live by the ocean, you can enjoy the smell of snow, flowers, leaves, dirt...WHATEVER. But if you don't slow down there are so many moments you are going to MISS. Like the very special moment I had tonight with my little Parker.

Ep 017: Who says being a mom can't be fabulous? With Luxe Mom Candace Thomas

Ep 016: Casts on Both Legs- Doing what you have to do with Mary Kathryn Johnson

I was incredibly intrigued when I found Mary's podcast and even more so when I read her info page on her website. This woman delivered a baby with two broken legs! From there she realized she could literally do ANYTHING and has gone on to prove just that. Mother of two with two incredible podcasts, Parents Power Rush and Parent Entrepreneur Power she is not only incredible in the business world but is a pretty darn MARVELOUS MOM!

Ep 015: Getting our babies HERE! An unconventional journey with Tracy Layne

Intrigued? Tracy is marvelous, it's pretty obvious to me. She worked incredibly hard to get her beautiful kids here. She broke some stigmas and really pushed past her prior notions of fertility to bring her daughters here in a very unique and still taboo sort of way. After an incredibly successful and beautiful adoption Tracy didn't stop and now is the thriving mother of THREE all while running a photography studio. I love her story, and you will too!

Ep 013: The "Cool" Mom- Designer, Musician and Marvelous Mom- Kimi Encarnacion
