I Launched a New Podcast "Women of Color Podcasters"
03:06
In 2018 I launched WOC Podcasters (Women of Color), a podcasting community amplifying Women of Color podcasting creatives. Women of Color in the podcasting industry often do not receive the praise and accolades they deserve. Although we celebrate each other within the confines of our communities, the podcasting industry at large has no idea how we are shaping this space. To further amplify our mission, I've launched a new podcast, "Women of Color Podcasters," which is now available on all podcasting platforms. "Women of Color Podcasters" is hosted and produced by Danielle Desir Corbett. Listen on Apple Podcasts | Spotify | Or Any Podcast Player Although Women of Color host less than 29% of podcasts, we influence all aspects of the industry, from scripting to producing, technology development, and everything in between. Listen to "Women of Color Podcasters" to discover how we've seized opportunities and overcome challenges and the best advice for making it in the podcasting industry. In the first episode, Debbie Arcangeles, host of The Offbeat Life, shares how she quit her nine-to-five job after successfully monetizing her podcast through podcast sponsorships. How should you handle maternity leave when self-employed? How will you make money during maternity leave? These are some of the questions you may have when you're pregnant and self-employed. Instead of notifying Human Resources, you will be taking paid leave, you are responsible for funding your leave and designing what that looks like. In this episode, I share how I saved to take maternity leave and how to plan for maternity leave while self-employed.

How To Define Your Travel Style
12:57
What is your travel style? Travel isn’t one-size-fits-all, and there isn’t one way to see the world, only what works for you. When I started traveling after landing my first job after graduate school, my funds were limited. As a result, I had to be creative and I eventually discovered my travel style which helped me align my spending with the items and experiences that mattered most. In this episode, learn how to define your travel style and how it impacts your finances. This episode is sponsored by Knack Bags, a slim and lightweight backpack for everyday use but also expands when you need it. Knack Bags are functional, accessible, and stylish. Since then, we have become road trip warriors. As the weather gets warmer, you may be planning a road trip of your own, so now is a great time to chat about what to pack for road trips.

[MWB Series Finale] How We're Building Wealth One Year Later in 2021
13:34
It's hard to believe that Acquania and I started Millennial Wealth Builders one year ago in 2020.
We started this audio docuseries because we wanted to create a space where Women of Color can be celebrated for all of the creative ways they are building wealth. Women of Color are often left out of the wealth-building conversation, and we wanted to change that. Over the last year, we've had the pleasure of documenting the journeys of twelve women, including ourselves. Their stories touched us and inspired us to dream bigger and pursue our audacious financial goals. One year later, Acquania Escarne, the host of The Purpose of Money, is growing her real estate portfolio and prioritizing passive income. Co-host Danielle Desir, the host of The Thought Card Podcast, has quit her corporate career to pursue creative entrepreneurship. Acquania and I close out the series by sharing how we are building wealth one year later, at the end of 2021. We sincerely hope you enjoyed this limited audio series and will grab a copy of the book (yes, we're writing the book!!!) when released in early 2022. Why Consider Private Travel and Guided Group Tours With Sarah Wilson
29:55
Sarah Wilson is an enthusiastic travel agent who specializes in private travel and guided group tours. Sarah believes that travel is about experiencing the world and all that it has to offer. She doesn't only want to help you plan a vacation, but create once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Private options include private jets, private homes and villas, private islands, cruises, yachts, staff, events, and more. In this episode, Sarah reminds us that private doesn't mean pricey. Yes, luxury travel is more exclusive, but it doesn't have to be exclusively expensive. Due to current demand and health and safety concerns, more companies are offering unique tours and excursions for small groups that cost the same as, if not less than commercial travel experiences. Sarah Wilson shares why financially savvy travelers should consider private travel, the benefits of hiring a travel agent, and why it is more affordable than you think.

Visiting Vermont During the Pandemic
24:03
While Kyle and I have written-off international travel for the rest of the year due to the pandemic, it hasn't stopped us from exploring our local area and planning a domestic getaway. In August 2020, we spent four days exploring the rural areas of Shaftsbury, Vermont. While we usually pick accommodations based on the destination we're visiting, we ditched our original plans after finding a cozy log cabin on Airbnb. During our trip, we spent lots of time outdoors, wandered around town, and wore masks in public. Did I mention we also saw a Black Bear right in our backyard? In this episode, we share the things we loved about Vermont and how we planned a trip during the pandemic.
