Description

Laura Tremaine has 10 Things To Tell You. And YOU have 10 Things To Tell. This is a show about sharing your stuff. Each episode asks a question, and you can take that prompt to your journal, to your best friend, or to social media. Let's dig deeper.

Episode Date
Ep 77: What's your BIG story?
55:36

This episode looks at your life like a movie.

What's your BIG story? The main narrative arc to your life? The story that is central to your identity? Anyone who knows you well knows this story. Maybe it happened in childhood. Maybe you're currently in the middle of it. But we all have one, big, main story.

In movies and in literature, they call this the Hero's Journey. It's one of the the most common storytelling devices in art. On this episode, I'm sharing my own BIG story. The thing that I arrange events into Before & After.

I can't wait to hear yours.

Ep 76: 10 Questions to ask yourself in the middle of anything
50:12

This episode is for anyone who could use an honest evaluation in the middle of something. (And maybe a reset.)

In the beginning, we make plans. Set goals. Hope for the best. At the end, we evaluate how it went. We make notes for next time. We accept our trophies or don't. But what about in the middle? Don't we need to stop down and ask some hard questions in the MIDDLE? To see if we're on track? To make tweaks? To define what it means to "finish well"?

Here are 10 Questions to ask yourself when you're in the middle of anything. The middle of a project or the middle of a season, all 10 questions apply.

For me, I'm answering from the middle of the year. It's hard to believe, but we are still in the very middle of 2020. And I have LOTS of feelings about the first half, and the tweaks I want to make for the months remaining.

Ep 75: Who are you talking about?
25:53

This episode is for anyone who had felt icky, gleeful, guilty, or triumphant after talking about someone else.

Look, we all do it sometimes, right? We gossip or vent or judge someone in conversation with friends. But does talking about someone behind their back REALLY say more about us than it does about them? Let’s discuss.

BONUS: More great books to read!
36:29

This episode is for anyone who can't get enough of the book talk.

We didn't have time for me to share ALL the great books I've been reading on the recent reading episode, so this is a little bonus to tell you all about my current book stack, including a new novel that's a contender for favorite of the year, and a nonfiction book that I am forcing myself to read with an open mind.

I'm also sharing a few of the books in my immediate To Read pile, plus the three books that I've preordered for fall release.

Ep 74: Best Books Lately with Sarah Bessey
53:12

This episode is a midsummer reading check-in.

It's time for another episode about BOOKS and this time I'm joined by my good friend Sarah Bessey. Sarah is a writer, speaker, and all around woman of wisdom. She is the author of Jesus Feminist, Out of Sorts, and the spiritual memoir Miracles and Other Reasonable Things. She is also the cofounder of the Evolving Faith conference.

On this episode, Sarah and I each share the best books we've read lately, including popular novels, Canadian authors that fly under the radar, and social justices resources.

The full list of books discussed can be found in the show notes.

You can also view them on Bookshop.org.

Ep 73: I wrote a book! (Agents, publishers, writing, and editing.)
01:04:14

This episode is for anyone curious about the process of writing and publishing.

I wrote a book! Share Your Stuff. I'll Go First will launch in February 2021, but I'm taking some time this week to talk all about the behind-the-scenes details I've always been curious about with other authors.

I'm answering questions from the 10TTTY Connection group about how I got an agent, crafted a book proposal, signed a book deal with a publisher, wrote & edited the book, and chose a cover.

There is SO MUCH to say about this longtime dream coming to fruition, after years of uncertainty and rejection.

Ep 72: Has the internet ever changed your mind?
51:48

This episode is for anyone who has has been told that there's no use fighting on facebook.

Has the internet ever changed your mind on an issue? Is it easier to hear a new perspective from friends and acquaintances or from strangers?

The episode is all about the ways that people’s social media posts ARE changing our culture, through snark, humor, memes or thoughtful shared experiences.

Let’s be honest about when a post has opened our eyes or when we’ve decided to dig in our heels. I share my own thoughts on this topic, as well as a few ways (some silly, some serious) that the internet has changed my perspective. At the end of the show a few listeners chime in with their thoughts.

Ep 71: Kendra Adachi is The Lazy Genius
01:01:53

This episode is part friendship, part therapy, part work/life balance.

I am so excited to share this conversation with my friend Kendra Adachi (aka The Lazy Genius) because not only do we talk about being “work friends” and how that narrow relationship title offers us freedom in our friendship, but Kendra also applies her Lazy Genius principles to my problem prioritizing work tasks. And I have kind of am embarrassing breakthrough.

49:57

Please indulge me in a little birthday episode.

I turn 41 this week and though it’s not the major milestone I celebrated last year, I still have things to say. This episode is half nostalgic nonsense and half preach-y. I guess this is what happens when I go off script.

Ep 69: BONUS! 22+ Things we watched in quarantine
41:28

This BONUS episode is for anyone looking for something interesting to watch (for families and for grown ups).

On roughly week 11 of the Los Angeles lockdown due to the coronavirus, I sat down with my husband Jeff and our two kids - ages 8 & 10 - for a lighthearted chat about all the movies, documentaries, and tv series we watched during quarantine since this season meant a LOT more screen time for our family than usual.

Ep 68: Hometown: A conversation about race with LaToyia Brown, Monica Pickens, and Danielle Williams
01:08:42

This episode is for anyone trying to understand another person's experience.

I’ve wanted to have this conversation with my hometown friends since I made the BIAS series on Smartest Person in the Room in 2018. I preferred to do it in person back then, but when the recent protests started over the murder of George Floyd, I asked if they would be willing to record online instead.

LaToyia Brown, Monica Pickens, Danielle Williams and I grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma, a town that sits on I-35 about halfway between Oklahoma City and Dallas. Population 25,000. Ardmore is 63.2% White and 10.2% Black. I am white and LaToyia, Monica, and Danielle are Black. As I’m learning more about the racial divide in our country, I wanted to ask these friends about their lives in our hometown. I wondered if they experienced discrimination, what was taught in their homes and churches, and what they think about America now versus when we were kids.

I had no idea what they were going to say when I pressed record. Our conversation is vulnerable, honest, and imperfect. But the point of 10 Things To Tell You is to forge connection through conversation, and I believe that is what happened here.

Ep 66: Do you have a morning routine?
18:23

This episode is for anyone looking for an anchor to their day.

I promise I'm not going to tell you to get up at 5am. I hold the word "morning" pretty loosely in this context, but I do think a time to pause and commit to ritual at some point in your day can bring much needed structure.

On this episode, I'm sharing my personal morning routine and giving you a few different ways to think about this topic.

This episode is for you if you are working from home right now and need some tips or mindset shifts to be less distracted and more productive.

My guest is Emily P Freeman, The Next Right Thing author and podcaster. Her work-from-home structure of Theme Days is something I adopted months ago and on this episode we talk about her approach to this schedule and how she's modifying it during the Covid 19 stay-at-home orders.

We also talk about the things that we're measuring to feel accomplished, and how social media is making us feel right now when our main connection with the outside world is the internet.

24:32

This episode if for you if you’re staring at that old shoebox full of memorabilia and aren’t sure what to do with it.

A friend messaged me to ask if she should keep or toss a stack of old journals. In a weird coincidence, I was in the middle of a project that required I pull out some of my old journals from decades ago.

I’m sharing stories of rereading journal entries, the ritual of throwing old memories away, and what I learned from discovering a long ago letter.

Ep 59: Marry the person you want to quarantine with (the Tremaines wave hello)
37:09

This episode is for anyone needing a little light distraction.

The Tremaines are waving hello from week 3 of self-isolation to stop the spread of coronavirus. This episode ended up being an accidental model for the type of conversations you could be documenting in your life and family right now during this historic time.

My husband Jeff and I start the show by answering questions from the 10TTTY FB Connection group, including: have we learned anything about one another during this time? How do we balance accepting one another while also pushing the other to grow? How are we connecting right now?

Then our kids jump on for just a few minutes and share their thoughts on what spring break in self-isolation looks like.

This turned into a fun, family-centered show.

27:25

This episode is for you if you're looking for ways to document your life during the everyday (or during a historic moment).

As the world fights a global pandemic, we are part of a pivotal moment in history. Whether you're hunkering down at home, in an essential job to keep the economy afloat, or on the front lines in the medical profession, this is a time for us to write our OWN stories. Don't simply trust what the history books will say. Document it for yourself.

I'm sharing 10 simple ways to write your own history, for your own private documentation or to share publicly. All of these methods are simple and easily available.

BONUS: Anxiety always makes sense (A conversation with Dr. Becky from DrBeckyAtHome)
51:02

This episode is for you if you need to understand and better cope with your anxiety.

Dr. Becky from Dr. Becky At Home is a clinical psychologist who specializes in helping people cope with anxiety and stress. I found her on Instagram when someone shared one of her posts, and what followed is one of the best and most important conversations I’ve ever had on this show.

Dr. Becky encourages us to form a relationship with our anxiety, and our conversation includes all of the things I’ve always wanted to ask: what does self-talk REALLY look like? What does it mean if we really can’t find the source of our anxiety? How do we balance being “strong” in front of our kids while also letting them see us have natural emotions?

I am so excited to share this one with you. This will be a conversation I will reference for a long time.

Ep 57: Is it anxiety or intuition?
22:31

This episode is for you if you have a hard time distinguishing between your anxiety and your intuition.

As someone who talks openly online about both my lifelong anxiety and following my intuition, this is a question I get a lot. I don't have all the answers, and don't always get this 100% correct, but on this episode I'm talking through how we can conflate these two things, and the #1 question I ask myself to know the difference.

Ep 56: Who were your cultural icons when you were young?
25:47

This episode is for you if you're in the mood for a little light-heartedness.

Today I'm taking a walk through the cultural icons of my youth and what it says about who we were drawn to when we were kids. Whether it's actors, fictional characters, musicians or sports stars, the people we wanted to be when we were young say something about our personalities.

This is a fun conversation to have at a party or on a road trip. (Spring break, anyone?) But there are still insights and connections to be made with a pop culture topic.

Ep 55: Living Abroad with Kids (10 Takeaways with Julie Stillwell)
01:25:19

This episode is for you if you've ever dreamed of living abroad with your family for a year.

I've been dying to share this conversation with my dear friend Julie Stillwell. In 2018, Julie and her husband Tom took their two young daughters to live in Amsterdam for one year. All four had lived in Los Angeles their whole lives, so this was a family adventure with a hundred takeaways.

We talk about the logistics of moving abroad and the emotions of both leaving and adjusting. We talk living without a car and sending their kids to the International School. We talk about style and food in Amsterdam versus the United States. We talk about why life seems simpler and slower in this part of Europe, and how temporary absence can actually deepen relationships.

There are so many nuggets of wisdom and things to think about in this episode. It made me realize that sitting down with a friend and giving full focus to something big in their life isn't something I do enough.

BONUS: 10 Books in my To Read pile + listener recommendations!
19:44

This episode is for you if you can never get enough book talk.

This Best Books lately episode ran longer than I expected and I didn't have time to tell you about all the awesome books in my MASSIVE To Read pile. I chose 10 of the books waiting on my kindle or on my bedside to share with you, and then listed the rest over on the blog. (You can find my full To Read list here.)

I love hearing what YOU'RE reading lately, and so the last few minutes of this bonus episode includes listener recommendations, straight from their own mouths. So now my To Read pile is somehow larger than it was before I recorded this...

This episode is for you if you struggle with negative self-talk.

A lot of have a critical voice in our head telling us all sorts of ugly things that lead to second-guessing and self-doubt. But where did that voice originate? Did it come from a parent? An old coach or similar authority figure from your youth? An ex?

On this episode, I'm sharing about the critical voices in MY head and why identifying them (instead of struggling to ignore them) is helpful to squash them for good.

What would YOU tell you to do?

25:51

This episode is for you if you forgot to self reflect about the new decade on New Years Eve.

Happy first birthday to 10 Things To Tell You! 🎉 We're celebrating one year of good questions and solid conversations. In the beginning of this episode, I share some of the best episodes of the past year (both statistically and personally) and reflect on making these first 50+ episodes.

After that we get down to the central question: Who were you 10 years ago? This is a great ice breaker question OR a chance to see if you remember the beginning of the last decade the same way your friends and family do. Who was 2010 YOU, and would she be happy with 2020 you?

Nish Weiseth - a friend I met through mommy blogging years ago - recently posted on Instagram that she was going to take a step back from posting her family online, because her kids are getting older and she started questioning her own motivations. I thought her take was really interesting, so I reached out and asked her to have a friend-to-friend conversation on this topic…publicly.

The first half of this episode is about posting photos of our kids and why our thoughts have changed on it over the years, and the second half turns towards why we post online at all.

We get really honest and vulnerable, but we don’t come to any conclusions. I get on my high horse at one moment and then admit I might be wrong.

I hope our conversation inspires you to ask your friends and coparents about their feelings on posting family pics online, and their genuine motivation for posting on social media at all.

BONUS: Intentions, Affirmations, & Vision Boards, Oh my!
35:34

This episode is for you if you’re thinking about setting intentions, starting affirmations, and creating a vision board for the new year.

On this episode, I’m sharing my (relatively recent) experience with setting intentions, writing down affirmations, and creating a vision board.

Let me be clear that I no expert on any of these things, but I do believe that something goes on in your consciousness when you stay open to receiving what the world has to offer (instead of closing yourself off from anything you don’t understand), and by putting in place a few practices that might positively affect your mood, spirit, and actions.

Ep 46: Book Club 2019 (Best, Worst, and Buzziest Books of the year)
02:06:32

This episode is for you if you are a reader!

It's the most wonderful time of the year, when all the Best Of book lists come out. Of course I couldn't resist putting in my own two cents! Joining me on this episode are two friends from my real life book club: Yasmin Dunn and Stephanie Newman-Smith. Listening to all our words here is like listening to our actual book club meeting.

We talk about the buzziest books of the year, books that missed the mark for us, and important nonfiction reads.

In the last hour of the show, we each name a handful of books that stand out as favorites in 2019, and we purposefully tried to highlight books that aren't being discussed everywhere else.

Ep 45: 10 Questions for the end of the year
34:36

This episode is for you if you enjoy end-of-the-year reflection and journaling.

It's the end of the year, and the end of the decade, and even though we're still a few weeks out from kissing 2019 goodbye and ushering in 2020, I'm posing these questions a little early so that you'll have time to think about your answers this month.

There are 10 questions in this episode meant to make you reflect upon on the last twelve months and get some clarity for what you want in the coming year. The prompts are a mix of light and deep, some to document a simple moment in time, others to help you grow.

Ep 44: What are you doing well?
19:26

This episode is for you if you need a little encouragement during a busy season.

Thank you to listener Aimee who suggested this topic! On this episode, I'm sharing two things I'm doing well right now and two things I'm letting go of for the holiday season. But the real key to this prompt is using it to start a conversation with a friend or a group of friends.

After listening, shoot a text to someone and ask, "Hey, where are you killing it these days?" because when people pause and reflect on this just for a minute, it shifts your mindset. We're all doing okay.

This episode is for you if the social events of the holiday season are giving you anxiety.

On this mish mash of an episode, I offer two tips for handling social anxiety AND I answer a few listener questions. There’s also a little housekeeping at the beginning of the show, with some updates and reminders about recent episodes.

In the Ask Me Anything section, I talk about how the book writing is going, my long ago jobs in reality television, and the one habit I started tracking that gave me immediate progress in working from home.

BONUS: Half Baked Harvest cookbook author Tieghan Gerard
20:46

This episode is for you if you're looking for a little inspiration in the kitchen.

Sometimes I like to have people on the show just to inspire or share something cool they're doing. I am super excited to welcome Tieghan Gerard, because I have followed her food blog Half Baked Harvest for years now.

Tieghan started her (massively popular and insanely beautiful) website Half Baked Harvest when she was NINETEEN years old. Now she runs the whole empire with the help of her family.

She also has a new cookbook out called Super Simple: More than 125 Recipes for Instant, Overnight, Meal-Prepped, and Easy Comfort Foods.

In our short chat, Tieghan and I talk about what cooking and food should be, and how her new book is a direct response to her follower's requests for good food that is super simple.

I hope this conversation is just the shot of inspiration you need to get in the mood for holiday cooking and time around the table.

Ep 42: Have you lost your style? (A conversation with Amber Haines)
50:00

This episode is for you if don't recognize the person in the mirror.

On a recent girls weekend, my good friend Amber Haines and I got into a conversation about being uncomfortable in our skin lately. It's more than simply aging, we both feel like our personal sense of style (something we've been proud of in the past) has taken a back seat in the past few years during a busy life.

This topic is both shallow and not. We discuss body changes, hiding ourselves, the mental hurdles of buying new clothes, and the logistical aspects of getting dressed up for a day when you don't see anyone except your kids.

This is a no shame, no judgment, authentic conversation between friends. We plan our next steps to get our groove back - the emotional part, and the practical part - and will do a check in on this topic in 3 months.

Ep 38: Books for growth
34:08

This episode is for you if you're seeking books to expand your perspective.

Reading and personal development are two of my passions, and on this episode they intertwine.

I've broken down the books for personal growth into 4 categories:

Introspection

Spirituality

Body

Humanity

Or, put another way: Discovering ourselves, finding God, connecting to our body, and learning about others.

On this episode, I'm listing a few books in each category that has taught me something and expanded my mind in some way.

Ep 36: Jenna Fischer & Angela Kinsey are best friends and Office Ladies
01:03:33

This episode is for you if you met your best friend at the office.

Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey are well known for their iconic roles as Pam Beesly and Angela Martin on one of the most beloved tv shows of all time, The Office. But in real life they are also best friends, and now they're business partners launching their new podcast Office Ladies.

On this very special episode, Jenna and Angela talk with me about one of my favorite topics: friendship. We talk about childhood friends, how hard it is to make good friends as adults, and the trickiness of friendship when the dynamics change.

Angela shares her biggest heartbreak with a friendship, and Jenna talks about a time when her feelings were hurt in a friendship. Plus I tell the story of the two VERY awkward ways I met each of these women, and they tell me the origin story of their friendship on set all those years ago.

This episode is PACKED with stories, laughs, and a few tears.

01:03:17

This episode is for you if you were wrecked by Season 2 of the television show Fleabag.

FLEABAG is a two-season television show created by, written by, and starring the incredible Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It swept the 2019 Emmys, winning SIX of the ELEVEN it was nominated for, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress, and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

I binged Fleabag last week and couldn't go one more day without talking about it. I recruited my friend Sueann Fortener to sit down with me so we could gush and cry and analyze all of our emotions around this spectacular season of television.

I'm sharing two of the things that I really want to sit down and finish (both on my To Do list for literally years) and a few ideas for things you might want to be held accountable to in the next three months.

Also in this episode I talk about my favorite planner. (And here's the blog post where I talk about how I chose this planner after a million minutes of internet research.)

32:17

This episode is for you if you’ve had any recent revelations you want to share.

If you’re a regular listener to this show, you are probably the type of person who is striving for growth, who aims to be self-aware, and who is paying attention. And if you’re paying attention, you’re learning. Always.

So this week I'm sharing with you a few of my own personal recent revelations (some shallow, some deeper), and I am actively encouraging you to share your own. Not only privately or in your journal, this time I’m challenging you to share on social media.

I want you to tell us a recent revelation you’ve had in your life. It’s an exercise in sharing of yourself AND I just want to see what people are thinking about these days. It helps me see the pulse of the listeners and create content for the show.

Ep 28: Motherhood through adoption with Lindsay Lawler
01:06:26

This episode is for you if you or a loved one has ever struggled through the fertility process, or if you’re interested in the topic of adoption.

I am so happy to share this conversation with one of my dearest friends, Lindsay Lawler, who recently became a mother when she adopted her baby girl on Thanksgiving Day 2018.

Lindsay shares the story of her experience with infertility, medical treatments, and adoption. As a reminder, neither Lindsay nor I are medical experts OR adoption experts. We both encourage you to do all your research when planning to grow your family.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • listening to your body

  • finding out your egg count

  • connecting with your doctor

  • marriage strain

  • how adoption should NOT be a last resort

  • staying positive but also allowing yourself emotions

  • finding an adoption agency

  • trusting the outcome

Ep 23: What are you measuring?
18:54

This episode is for anyone who has struggled with meeting a goal, or knowing what to prioritize.

We’re all measuring something, but are we using the right metric? Are we measuring time or result? Are we measuring our waist or our health? We can measure our social media or our water intake, but if we’re not setting ourselves up for success, then we’ll fail emotionally every time.

In this episode, I’m musing over some measurements that caught me off guard, and how I’m shifting my perspective on some of the things I'm actively measuring.

I’m asking you to give an honest assessment of the things in your life (big and small) that you’re measuring, and ask yourself if you’re using the right metric.

Ep 18: 10 Thoughts on Anxiety
41:48

This episode is for you if you’ve ever struggled with anxiety or ever watched a loved one form coping mechanisms to handle their anxiety.

I have more than 10 things to tell you about anxiety, but here is a place we can start the mental health conversation. In this episode, I'm sharing my lifelong anxiety starting in childhood, through the teenage and young adult years, after I had children, and into the present day.

I'm talking about what anxiety looks like for me, healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms, and the things that have given me the most relief.

The goal of this type of episode is just to share a common human experience. I hope that it makes you check in with your own body, be honest about mental health struggles, and bring about some understanding of the anxiety that millions of people live with every day.

Not who did you *want* to be or who did other people want you to be? But WHO did YOU expect to be at this stage of your life? And are you that person?

I've thought about variations of this theme for years, maybe even my whole adulthood. Because my life hasn't turned out at all like I expected. Okay, that's not entirely true.

Ep 8: Movie Director Jeff Tremaine has things to tell you
49:01

This episode is for you if you've ever wondered the difference between a Hollywood director and a producer.

Every now and then this show will take a break from the personal introspection and hear from a guest who has something interesting to say. I'm kicking off that series with my talented husband, producer/director Jeff Tremaine.

In this episode we talk about his new movie The Dirt, a Netflix biopic about the rock band Motley Crue. Jeff shares why the film took nearly 10 years to make, and the most crucial decision he made in the beginning.

We also discuss how we stay connected in our marriage when apart for months at a time, and how he feels about making a movie that doesn't always align with his own values.

Ep 7: What are you assuming about others?
21:30

This episode is for you if you've ever made assumptions about others that turned out not to be true.

Sometimes I assume that everyone else is killin' it at life and I'm the only one flailing around. Sound familiar?

In this episode, I share some of the silly things people have assumed about me and a few things that I assume about everyone else. (None of these things are true.)

Ep 6: Revisiting Judy Blume
52:09

This episode is for you if Judy Blume's novels made an impact on your childhood.

This is the first in the REVISIT series, where we're going to look at things from the past and see how they affected us then and how we feel about them now. Today's topic: Judy Blume.

Specifically, her three novels:

Are you there, God? It's me, Margaret.

Blubber

and Starring Sally J. Freedman As Herself.

My guest on this episode is my childhood friend Cara Pence, and we get a little emotional as we delve into the more painful themes of these books. This is a true conversation between friends.

Tell me about your teachers.

Today we're talking about the school teachers (or coaches, or activity instructors) who have made a difference in our lives in one way or another. I'm sharing the teachers who taught me how to think, trusted me, and even a few who left a mark I wish I didn't have.

Ep 4: How do you connect to your body?
29:26
This episode is for you if you’ve ever felt disconnected from your own body.

This episode is NOT about weight or exercise. We’re talking about the mind/body connection and the spiritual awakening that can occur when you really tune into your body instead of living on autopilot.

I’m welcoming Pilates studio owner and movement teacher Kerri Campbell as my guest as we discuss and answer the question

How do you connect to your body?

Age, trauma, pain, and depression are just a few of the things that can cause us to disconnect from our body over time. In this episode we’ll talk about how to recognize if your brain and body have gone numb to one another and the mindset shift that will motivate positive change instead of constant self critique.

Ep 3: Where do you live?
22:45

This episode is for you if you've ever thought about where you live and how it affects you.

Where do you live?

This is one of the most basic, get-to-know-you questions, and the answer can vary. Our country, state, city, and neighborhood all say something about us, whether we like it or not.

On today's episode, we're not just talking about our zip codes, we're talking about how our location is currently affecting who we are. I live in Los Angeles, so I have 10 Things To Tell You about my little pocket of L.A.

You can take this prompt to your journal, text it to a friend, or post on social media using the #10ThingsToTellYou hashtag.

20:26
This episode is for you if you've ever felt lonely. Which means this episode is for everyone.

Loneliness feels like one of the great taboo topics of adulthood. But all around me, I see and hear people whispering that they’re profoundly lonely. In this episode I’m going to tell you about a time in my life when I was really lonely, and the two things I did that turned it around for me.

The prompt for this week:

Are you lonely?

Or

When were you lonely?

Ep 1: When do you read?
26:07

This episode is for you if you want tips on how to read more, or if you already have a reading habit.

We're kicking off the 10 Things To Tell you podcast with my favorite thing: BOOKS! People are always asking me how I read so much, and mainly people want to know:

WHEN do you read?

HOW do you read?

WHAT do you read?

I’m answering all of those questions and so much more. I’m telling you my secret to reading (roughly) one book a week. If audiobooks count the same as reading a book you hold. And I confess my dilemma over rating books publicly.

Read the full show notes here.

After you listen to the episode, I want you to answer the questions for yourself. Text your reader friends and ask them about their reading routines. Or post on social media your reading habits and opinions using the hashtag #10ThingsToTellYou.
