This is a good true crime news update podcast, but the mouth noises are just awful, every sentence is started with tooth sucking/slurping type noises and it's just nauseating.Also one of the hosts mic is way louder than the other.

Egypt Covington cold case arrest; Florida man charged in young girlfriend’s hotel room death
Local Michigan singer Egypt Covington was found tied up with Christmas lights and shot in the back of the head in June 2017, and the killer eluded capture for years. An Ohio man was arrested last week and charged with Covington’s murder. Plus, a 54-year-old Florida businessman was arrested 300 miles from where his 18-year-old girlfriend was shot dead in a hotel room in an incident he called a "play gunfight." Alabama mom gets jail for killing accused rapist; confined kid burns bed to escape room
An Alabama woman who pleaded guilty to murdering her accused rapist was sentenced to 20 years after her Stand Your Ground self-defense appeal was denied. Brittany Smith had more than 30 injuries on her body, and her alleged assailant had “very high amounts of methamphetamine in his system” when he died. Police in Orange County, California, have solved a 52-year-old cold case murder — the county’s oldest Jane Doe case. Using genetic genealogy, detectives were able to identify a young woman who had been found dead in a Huntington Beach farm field more than half a century ago. Missing 15-month-old Tennessee girl Evelyn Boswell was last seen in December, but an Amber Alert was not issued until last week. Evelyn's mom has been arrested for filing false reports. Evelyn's grandma and her grandma's boyfriend were also arrested, all held in the same jail.
