Description

This podcast is a series of sermons and talks given by Rev. Dr. Todd Eklof and guest speakers at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane Est. 1887 Create community, find meaning & work for justice. Unitarian Universalists are Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, atheist, agnostic, believers in God, and more. Unitarian Universalism affirms & promotes seven principles: —The inherent worth and dignity of every person; —Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations; —Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations; —A free and responsible search for truth and meaning; —The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large; —The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; —Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. These universal principles of respect, equality, openness, freedom, democracy, justice, and unity are not ours alone, but are mined from the wisdom of humanity as a whole, as found in those various sources of inspiration we call our Living Tradition.
