Today we welcome our special guest and baby sleep consultant, Marietta Paxson (founder of Little Dreamers)!

Maren and Aubrey will also share how we’ve gone about “sleep training” (or lack of! 😅) and we will make sure you all leave with the info you need to tackle the problems that are *literally* keeping you up at night!

Marietta is the best, and also gave our listeners a discount code to use her amazing program, designed to help any mom conquer sleep-related challenges!

Episode 19: Everyday Meal-Planning + How We Feed Our Families!
2922

Sometimes we are a nutritional, gourmet, Pinterest chef! Other times, we are barely surviving on various “hot cheese” items- AND THAT’S OKAY. Today’s episode will explore what we do in both circumstances, and how we are currently planning, purchasing, preparing and serving food to our families on a daily basis!

We will talk through some of our favorite, go-to meals, snacks, and methods! We will answer some fun lightning-round questions such as: what dishes we are most proud of, what we do that we *swore* we never would, and what our favorite items are at the grocery store!

You guys. We are SO. DANG. AVERAGE. So this episode had us cracking up, and just spilling the beans about how food ends up in our babies tummies everyday! We hope you can gain some ideas, and relate to us!

Bon appetit!

What do you do when you’re about to lose your cool as a mom? How do we cope with tantrums and tough moments? How can we love our toddlers better?

How can we stay kind and calm in our motherhood? Why and how can we stop yelling at our kids?

All of these questions (and more!) will be answered in today’s episode- an interview with the expert on positive parenting herself- Ralphie Jacobs! (the creator of Simply on Purpose)

Episode 14: Preserving Memories While Still Living in the Moment - Is It Possible?!
2544

Today’s episode is an uplifting, upbeat and unfiltered discussion about documenting! (Plus lots of laughs!)

Am I living in the moment? How do I balance between taking enough photos, and being present? What is my ‘why’ for documenting, and HOW IN THE WORLD can I make it simpler? We will answer all of these questions in today’s episode!

We will talk about our favorite apps, products and processes for storing photos, printing, writing and remembering our motherhood journeys! We will talk about how to live in the moment and find more presence in our parenthood. And we will definitely share some interesting business ideas and maybe talk about raisins- NOT the edible kind! 😂

We really hope you come away feeling less stress, and give yourself permission to simplify this process. We hope you feel empowered to document exactly how much you need to, and can! And we hope you know we are right here with you- as always.

Episode 10: You’ve Got it in You! Coping with Fatigue, Anxiety & Postpartum Depression
2957

In today’s episode, we open up about fatigue, anxiety and postpartum depression. We’ve experienced all three at different times, and we are in the thick of a couple of them now!

Postpartum depression can be all-consuming, and it’s more than just a bad day.

The polarizing fears that come with anxiety are something completely different, yet equally difficult. We will chat vulnerably about night terrors, irrational fears and how cope.

And lastly, Fatigue. So often we sweep this under the rug and “just deal with it” as moms. But it needs to be acknowledged.

We will give you practical solutions for coping with fatigue, anxiety and depression as well as encouragement.

We hope you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We’ve been there. We ARE there. Right along with you. So hit play, and cry with us today, mama. We are strong, and we’ve got it in us to keep fighting!

Tully (2018) is the movie we mentioned about postpartum fatigue- it’s rated R, and has adult content, but gives a good look into the life of a tired new mom. Reach out to us via email so we can help you find it, and also find an edited version.

Episode 9: More than Self-Care: SOUL Care
2331

“Take time to make your soul happy.” - a quote we read recently that made us think, and think some more. What are you doing for YOUR soul, mama? ‘Soul’ is the combination of body and spirit- so how are you caring for yours??

In today’s episode, we are going to talk about the long tedious job that motherhood is- whether you work outside, or stay at home! And we are long-deserving of some soul care!

Today, we will share with you the ways we care for our mama souls, connect with our “pre-motherhood” selves, and some goals we have for doing more in the future! We will talk love languages, wins and fails, and the times we were basically doctors!! (Not really.)

And we guarantee you will walk away from this interview with the same sense of admiration for your own experience! Motherhood is worthy. Motherhood is something to be celebrated. We know it, and so should you!

In this episode, we will talk about the importance of looking UP into our children’s eyes more often, the magic of tubs, and you’ll even get to hear “the voice” that Kaley’s husband does everything he can to avoid! We will talk birth, 4 year old birthday parties, Walmart finds, and Irish twins (surprise- ALL of us have them!) You might cry- cause we do- and you’ll DEFINITELY laugh.

Episode 1: Welcome to The Mamahood
1037

We are Maren and Aubrey, and we are glad you’re here! Welcome to the podcast where you are loved, seen, and understood. We are average moms like you! We stuff our faces with too much sugar, stay up late watching reality TV, and cry a lot.

We love our babies more than we can say, and we are advocates for motherhood, and all the joy (and sorrow, let’s be real!) that it encompasses. In today’s intro episode, you’ll get to know us a little bit, and hopefully enjoy our heavy dose of TMI. We are amateurs, you guys.

But we know it’s easier to get through life with friends - and we are here to be yours! So sit back, relax (or fold your mountain of laundry), and enjoy a raw and real discussion between two mama’s in the “trenches”- just like you!
