We’re living in pretopia, the final crossroads. Both utopia and dystopia are possible futures for humanity, but neither is inevitable. Technology will bring us there, but technologies are not inherently good or bad. Their value is determined by the humans who design and use them, and the decisions we make now as a species will set us on a path we may not be able to change.
