EP 122: How to Step into Feminine Energy for Great Relationships
17:49

So the what hell is feminine energy anyways?!

If you’ve wondered the above then this episode will be helpful.

Feminine energy is about going INWARD.

Tuning into our inner knowing and releasing the drive to do more, push, achieve.

Society teaches us the following trajectory:

DO-HAVE-BE

This is very masculine in its approach - push harder, hustle more, achieve, try, work 12 hr days... and when it comes to love/dating this resembles going on tons of dates, pushing, setting timelines, etc.

Feminine energy embodies the powerful paradigm shift of:

BE-DO-HAVE

This entails stepping into your own power, embodying that which you wish to attract.

In dating this looks like:

  • Allowing
  • Releasing
  • Trusting
  • Attracting
  • Playing
  • Loving

Whether male or female, you can go inward and step into the power of feminine energy!

When we think about it, feminine energy lines up really nicely with secure attachment.

BONUS: In this episode, I also talk about how past relational trauma gets in the way of stepping into your feminine energy and exactly what you can do about it!

If you’re serious about stepping into your feminine energy, embodying a securely attached woman, and attracting a healthy relationship, make sure you apply to the ESL program!

18:14

Do you DECLARE to the universe what your heart really desires?

Is it a silent secret, or an OUT LOUD REQUEST?

Many of us stay silent about what we really want; for fear it will never ever come true.

And omg, if we dare speak our heart’s desire...and then we fall on our face and never achieve it?

Speak it out loud, write about it, visualize it, and own that desire. Your desires are never placed on your heart by accident.

You do yourself and the universe a huge disservice when you keep them silent!

Be unapologetic about what you want, and imagine it as already in existence.

Don’t you dare cut yourself off from what is meant for you!

And if you need help owning that a romantic partnership is part of deepest desires, I got you!

In todays episode I talk about:

EP 91: Emotionally Unavailable Partners: How to Get Out of This Love Trap
20:55

“Emotionally Unavailable” used to turn me on

It was the challenge for me - and it activated all of my old beliefs about love…

Unhelpful beliefs like:

- “I have to work for emotional intimacy”

- “I have to earn attention, love, and intimacy”

- “If I’m good enough/low maintenance enough I won’t be abandoned”

Emotionally unavailable partners trigger childhood wounds that have never been healed…

And the unconscious wish of the brain is that THIS TIME it could be different

This time we would be loved, we would win the attention and love we so craved in childhood, and if we can do this successfully now, it will somehow make up for all of the times we felt neglected/abandoned as children

In psychoanalysis we call this: “repetition compulsion”

The unconscious secret wish of the ego that through repetition of an unhealthy pattern we may one day “get the desired outcome”

This was me, for years. Repeating the same pattern over and over…

After finally hitting rock bottom (after a decade of unhealthy dating), and then committing to “doing the work” I’m happy to say “emotionally unavailable” doesn’t turn me on anymore

And I can spot it from a mile away ;)

If you resonate with the pain of repeating patterns over and over and getting the same result each time you may be interested in the “Rewiring Your Relationship Blueprint” Masterclass I provided recently.

In the masterclass I talk about why you are attracted to who you’re attracted to, why you keep repeating patterns, and what you can do about it!

Here is the link to the Masterclass so you can take the first step to rewiring your brain for healthy emotionally available love:

58:21

Ok y’all–honestly, this episode is GOLD.

In this interview with Kute Blackson, we give you exactly what you need to let 2021 be your best year yet

Kute and I talk about the power of listening to your truth.

We do a deep dive on how alignment to your truth:
-Transforms your life and relationships
-Relieves stress and anxiety
-Empowers you to attract what is meant for you (including that romantic relationship you want)

Kute and I talk about practices we’ve developed to tune into ourselves and release fear/anxiety.

I know this episode will help so many of you, and I am so excited for you to listen to it!

@Kuteblackson is a passionate, funny, and engaging speaker- trust me you want to follow him, and you definitely want to hear the conversation we had.

Wishing you the release of fear and the power of stepping into your ideal self.

The amazing thing? You don’t have to BECOME anything; you only have to release the BS, lies, limiting beliefs that have gotten in the way.

Your AUTHENTIC self is so loved, on fire, and passionate...You simply have to shed the layers that connect you to that identity.

HOWEVER, when we are aware of unhealthy tendencies we have the power to stop them!!

Tune in to this podcast episode to get the inside scoop on:

Even the prettiest person can still hate their body...

You know what’s really hot?!

Self Acceptance and LOVE for your body

We can all FEEL energy and you can definitely feel when someone is confident in their own skin!

EP 77: Boundaries 101: Learn to Set Boundaries For Yourself and Others
12:54

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT BOUNDARIES:

You have to feel like you deserve them.

You have to KNOW deep in your bones that you are worthy of boundaries

You have to let go of the BELIEFS that block you from enforcing your boundaries

We can learn all of the fanciest “how to set boundaries” skills in the world; but if we have not healed our beliefs about what we feel we deserve, the boundaries will not stick.

This is WHY “doing the work” matters

You know something logically but it is an entirely different thing to INTERNALIZE knowledge and have it change you.

In this episode I will teach you:

-How to tune into your boundaries

-Why boundaries are Kind

-How to set boundaries that actually stick

You don’t want to miss this relationship gold! Make sure you comment below with your takeaways or shoot me a DM on IG @drmorgancoaching

EP 76: You are Your Number One Priority: Busting a Common Relationship Myth
11:01

“Now that I’m single, I’m just gonna focus on me and doing what I want to do…”

I always sigh when I hear this…

WHY you ask?

Because: you are your number one priority whether you are single or in a relationship

Your ability to show up in a relationship depends on how well you have taken care of yourself

When you take care of yourself, you take care of the relationship

That is why your relationship status does not change your self-care!

When you enter into a relationship-instead of losing yourself, make sure you continue to honor your needs.

Honor the things that fill up your gas tank; it’s the only way you can have healthy relationships that don’t lead to resentment

Check-out today’s podcast episode for the inside scoop on:

-Why you should always be your number one priority

-How to honor your needs while in a relationship

-The truth about what happens if you don’t do this

Send me a DM on Instagram if you agree that YOU are your number one priority single or in a relationship!

EP 75: The Power of Owning your Truth and Prioritizing Personal Growth with Special Guest Jordan Power
54:29

‼️POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECT OF ANXIOUS ATTACHMENT 👇🏼

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Losing yourself in love...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When you devalue yourself and overvalue the relationship; you become a chameleon⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀

In my past when I was “chameleoning” (let’s make it a verb shall we?!😜) I would hide parts of myself that I thought made me undesirable to my partner...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Things like my hobby of writing poetry, my love for @champagnepapi and Kendrick Lamar, my obsession with matching athletic wear outfits, and my tendency to blast the music with the windows down on long drives...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I.hid.myself.💔

To make room for a fake version of me who I believed “wouldn’t be abandoned”

⠀⠀⠀

And guess what?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When relationships ended I’d feel like a knife twisted in my gut -because I felt like “I changed for you...and I STILL wasn’t good enough” 🤯⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

THE LESSON: When you’re securely attached you are YOURSELF⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Receive what is meant for you baby and tell the rest “Wish you the best byeeeeeee”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ready to move towards being your authentic self UNAPOLOGETICALLY?! Then I have a special treat for  you:

TODAY on the podcast I was joined by the one and only Jordan Power @jpowercomedy (make sure you follow him if you’re not already!)

He got very vulnerable about his journey to loving himself, removing himself from toxic relationships, and learning how to set boundaries!

We laughed, we got REAL real, and overall had a very honest conversation about:

-Choosing healthy coping over numbing (aka substance/unhealthy relationships

-Getting off the dating rollercoaster

-Setting boundaries with unhealthy relationships (including unhealthy friendships)

Aaaaand so much more!

EP 63: Attachment Theory Informed Early Stages of Dating: How to Date with Secure Attachment Style
13:53

You will not chase what is meant for you.

You are attracting all that is meant for you when you show up as your most secure, empowered and confident version of you.

“Chasing” in love doesn’t work; it just gets EXHAUSTING

Conscious couples meet in the middle.

They show up with intention.

#nochasingrequired

The very act of chasing, causes the recipient to flee.

Think about that. When you chase, you create a pursuer distancer dynamic.

Do you struggle with chasing (OR maybe you are the one “fleeing”) in the early stages of dating?

Then today’s podcast might be just what you need.

In today’s podcast episode you will get the inside scoop on:

EP 50: The Father Wound, Childhood Trauma; Attachment Theory Informed Healing
21:50

Three words to describe my childhood:

Chaos, Unpredictable, and Loss

In this podcast episode, I get VERY VULNERABLE about my healing journey; you don’t want to miss it

I talk about how I went to therapy…

I had thought I had “dealt with it”

But the same painful patterns kept showing up in my life no matter how hard I tried…

It was not until I hit rock bottom and decided to take OWNERSHIP that I could change

I got to a point where I knew I couldn’t live the rest of my life repeating these patterns.

I knew I wouldn’t survive through it.

I knew deep down I didn’t deserve the pain either.

So I went back to therapy, I cried, I fell apart, I journaled every night, I got coaching, I read every book I could…

I even got a doctorate in Clinical Psychology

I did all the things; I did “the work”

It consisted of ownership and falling apart over and over

And slowly I built myself back up, I’ve healed many broken parts and I am grateful to say I am a completely different woman today than I was 5, 10 years ago

No longer repeating the same patterns

I am grateful. AND I am motivated to help other women heal; and for it to be a quicker road for them than it was for me

That is where the E.S.L 8 Week program came from

I wanted to give women the short-cut; I wanted to empower women in their healing so they could stop wasting time living in pain and suffering

This is not just a “business” to me; this is a mission

And if you know you need to “do the work”; I invite you to join me

A professional, but also someone who has been there.

No judgement, just healing

Ready? Go apply to the 8 Week E.S.L program using the link in my bio-you have nothing to lose, and all of the healing and peace to gain

Heartbreak is using the same dating approach over and over, expecting different results.

In this episode, I give you the tools to put the joy back into your dating life.

EP 48: Why You Need to Treat Your Relationship like a Business
11:00

Why would you schedule a business meeting, but not time to check in with your partner?

You have to KNOW where your relationship is at currently, in order to grow together

It’s like saying “hey I really want to get to Chicago” but you don’t know whether you’re starting from Portland or LA…

Why would you try to go somewhere without knowing your starting point?!

Every couple needs to know:

-What is working–each other’s STRENGTHS

-What isn’t working–areas for improvement

-What are the ways you can better support one another

-What do you need from one another...ETC

Most couples don’t make the time to check-in and have these conversations…

In my experience as a couples' therapist–the couples who do these conversations, and do them well–SCHEDULE THEM

You SCHEDULE what you prioritize

When something is scheduled; that makes it real.

Inside the episode you will learn:

-Why you NEED to approach your relationship like a business

-How to have “relationship business meetings”

-Why investing in your relationship matters

-Aaaaand so much more!

Make sure you go listen to this episode and let me know your takeaways by shooting me a DM or screenshotting the episode and tagging me in your story!

EP 47: Vulnerability in Your Relationships: How & When to Use It and Why It’s Important
13:35

Would you rather be “safe” and alone, or vulnerable and connected?

“Safe” ends up leading to “isolated”, which leads to pain, and can lead to depression (among other things)…

When we are connected; we are ALIVE and VULNERABLE

Today’s podcast delves deep into one of my FAVORITE topics ever: VULNERABILITY

I realized my podcast was named “Let’s Get Vulnerable” and I hadn’t even recorded an episode on vulnerability yet

(GASP)

As a relationship coach and psychologist, I often get asked: “But how do I know when it’s okay to be vulnerable?!”

In today’s episode, I introduce you to one of my most used metaphors: THE INTIMACY ONION–it will help you understand how to do this whole vulnerability thing

Inside the episode will learn:

-Why you NEED vulnerability in a healthy relationship

-How to PACE vulnerability for a healthy relationship

-Why you struggle with vulnerability, and what is going on when you “dive in too quick”

Make sure you go listen to this episode and let me know your takeaways by shooting me a DM or screenshotting the episode and tagging me in your story!

P.S. The 8 Week E.S.L relationship coaching program is OFFICIALLY  open for application! Ready to get off the relationship rollercoaster and learn how to show up secure and confident in love? Click here to apply!

EP 46: #1 Way to Sabotage Healthy Relationships and Stay Single Forever
11:04

Would you like to know the #1 way to sabotage your relationships?

It’s likely not what you think it is.

The #1 way you are sabotaging your relationships:

Not examining the Unhealthy Beliefs you have about relationships

In this episode, I do a deep dive on the beliefs that have sabotaged your dating life

One of the beliefs I discuss is: “Relationships are Hard Work”

And some of you have been in relationships that took more effort than your full-time job.

Some of you have had beliefs that in order for your relationship to work you will have to sacrifice so much, and totally deplete yourself.

But hold up.

THERE IS A DIFFERENT WAY

In this episode, I break down this belief and I tell you:

-Where it comes from

-Why it happens

-Aaaaand exactly what to do when it is happening to you

(so you don’t keep sabotaging your healthy relationships!)

MAKE SURE YOU GO GIVE IT A LISTEN and if you want to stop experiencing patterns like these-go apply to my 8 week ESL relationship course.

EP 45: Attachment Theory Applied: The Shift from Anxious to Avoidant & Vice Versa
22:12

Has this trainwreck ever happened to you?!

You play it super cool in the beginning of the relationship (you know catch flights, not feelings am I right)

THEN gradually the person “wears down” your walls and

You.Let.Them.In.

And this absolutely terrifies you, but you did it anyways, because well they earned your trust and deep down you really don’t want to die alone

But hold up.

It seems like the SECOND they know you like them- they do a total 180

All of a sudden you are PURSUING THEM

And you go, what in the actual hell

How dare you take entrance into the heart for granted.

That’s extremely VIP access boo, and now here you are pulling away from ME?! The nerve!

Well if you can relate to the above-THEN YOU NEED THIS PODCAST EPISODE

In this episode I break down the Anxious to Avoidant Pendulum Swing; I tell you:

-What it is

-Why it happens

-Aaaaand exactly what to do when it is happening to you

(so you don’t go through this maddening push-pull anymore)

MAKE SURE YOU GO GIVE IT A LISTEN and if you want to stop experiencing patterns like these-go apply to my 8 week ESL relationship course.

EP 30: Learn How to Identify this Major Coping and Relationship Mistake
19:00

Are you Numbing instead of Healing?

Have you ever gone through a break-up and woke up with the worst tequila hangover of your life?

Then maybe that hangover continued into a 3-week blurry mess filled with shopping sprees, taco bell, Ben & Jerry’s and nights you barely remember….

It can feel “good” temporarily...But then you wake up, your head is pounding, your whole body is aching, you shuffle to the bathroom and you catch a glance in the mirror…You look into your eyes, and your eyes don’t lie. You see the pain.

And you realize that “good” feeling was actually an escape that simply took you further away from yourself...You numbed the pain, but it didn’t go away…In fact, the numbing you were doing, actually made the pain get worse. How do I know this cycle so well?

Because this was me. For years. After every break-up. I WAS PREVENTING MY OWN HEALING.

Have you been there? Can you relate? I say this out of LOVE: You must know–the only way forward is through. No matter what you are doing to numb; the pain is still there and it’s not going away.

Ready to stop the cycle? I am reviewing applications for my 8-week E.S.L Relationship Program. Spots are filling up FAST–so go apply NOW if you need this.

Click here to apply! or go to drmorgancoaching.com/workwithme to apply. This is the last chance before summer to work with me.
