Self Care (ft. Amir "Loon" Muhadith)
4931
On today's episode of "Say Less," Kaz and Lowkey, the guys talk about the NBA going on strike in wake of Jacob Blake's shooting and the reaction it's garnered in Wisconsin and all over the country. The honest conversation about race and police brutality is joined by Amir "Loon" Muhadith. Loon is a former Bad Boy Records artist who was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for conspiracy with intent to traffic one or more kilos of Heroin. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic effects in prison centers, Loon was granted early release on July 29, 2020 and has been using all of his efforts to fight for prison reform and the unjust systems that kept him incarcerated for the better part of the last decade. Loon speaks to us about his experience behind bars and how his Muslim faith led him away from music and more to his true calling of serving the people of his community. Loon also gives his thoughts on what actions need to be taken amongst Black people to make true change as well as why he believes the time for talking and not being sharp of mind and soul is over. 18 Years, 18 Years (ft. Corey Jacobs)
4496
Corey Jacobs is living proof that systemic racism is real and our justice system is broken. Facing 16 life sentences as a first-time non violent drug offender, Jacobs stood solid in the prison system for 18 years without a possibility of freedom. In 2016, Jacobs was granted clemency from President Barack Obama and set free. Now a free man, senior advisor to the legendary Sean "Puffy" Combs, and co-founder of the Buried Alive Project, Jacobs is showing the world a different side of what life after facing life looks like. On this episode of "Say Less" with Kaz and Lowkey, Jacobs explains why the justice system in America doesn't necessarily help rehabilitate prisoners once they are set free and how the systems set in place by our government make it extremely easy to get sent right back into prison. Jacobs also speaks at length about his life-long friendship with Diddy and why he feels that he is Hip-Hop's Michael Jackson. Jacobs also details how the Buried Alive Project has helped free 53 people from incarceration, his friendship with Meek Mill and how both of their fights for restructuring the criminal justice system are similar yet different, who Puffy would bring smoke to in a Verzuz battle, and much more. The UFC's Star Problem (ft. DAZN's Andreas Hale)
4160
"This past weekend, the UFC put on an incredible show as they returned to their home of Las Vegas for UFC 250. While headliner Amanda Nunes is starting to become embraced as the greatest fighter of all time regardless of gender, rising stars like Cody Garbrandt, Aljamain Sterling and Sean O' Malley put on impressive performances for the suddenly stacked Bantamweight division. Overshadowed by that, however, is the fact that Dana White has a huge star problem in his company. Jon Jones has threatened to relinquish his Light Heavyweight Championship and leave the company, Jorge Masvidal has had pay disputes with Dana White and Conor McGregor retired (for the third time).  On today's episode of "Say Less" I talk with the senior editor of Combat Sports for the Sporting News and DAZN, Andreas Hale, about the UFC's news-making weekend as well as the UFC's star problem. We speak about the company's inability to create mainstream stars, how the Reebok deal stifled the company's growth, and why Dana White has been hesitant to push stars of color. We also speak about what it's been like to try and cover sports while the world has finally put it's focus on the value of black lives and whether we have reasons to be hopeful.  Follow Say Less: The Best Of Say Less: youtu.be/46bti360Ob8 (Fridays on Whistle Sports/Brother HQ) @SayLessWithKaz, @WhistleSports, @BrotherHQ - Instagram @SayLessWithKaz, @WhistleSports, @BrotherHQ - Twitter Theme Song Produced by BlaaqGold Outro Produced by Krish Records Produced and Edited by Emilio Sparks"

Broke In A Minute (feat. Baron Davis)
1:00:08

You know Baron Davis' rap sheet on the court. UCLA Legend, Two-Time NBA All-Star, third overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft, leader of the 'We Believe' Warriors, we get it. But B. Diddy's exploits off of the court might be just as impressive. On today's episode of "Say Less," Davis, fresh off of his 41st birthday, talks at length about his companies SLiC and No Label. He expresses the desire for athletes' stories and documentaries to be told by the athletes' peers and not just sportswriters. He explains why he based his company out in the Bay Area, his series WTF Baron Davis on Hulu and FUSE, the need for positive black characters and tales to be told, and what he would do to make the NBA's H.O.R.S.E. competition more compelling in the wake of COVID-19.

Davis also talks hoops and breaks down exactly why the 'We Believe' Warriors defeated the heavily favored top-seeded Dallas Mavericks, as well as where he feels his game would fit in the NBA in 2020. Davis also explains the art of point guard play and who are some of the league's greatest artists and details the first game that he got cooked in the NBA and who did it.

Broke In A Minute (feat. Baron Davis)

57:05

As we go into a full month of being locked down in the crib courtesy of COVID-19 and the coronavirus, it's easy to start getting incredibly bored and completely understandable to not try and be as productive as you can be. Not Nile Ivey. In this episode of "Say Less," Kaz holds court with his longtime friend, business partner and music industry insider Nile "Lowkey" Ivey about how he's managed to thrive in a time where it seems like everything is starting to shut down. A lot of professional athletes are being forced into look into a world without their sport for the first time ever. On this episode of "Say Less," Kaz talks to the former NFL wideout about the success he's found off the field as a member of the media and content producer. Kaz broke the news to him about the Houston Texans trading for Brandin Cooks and try to break down exactly what head coach and general manager, Bill O' Brien, is thinking.
