I am learning a lot from these podcasts. They are a great service to our democracy. It would be a great mistake to cancel this podcast.

After listening to this pod from its inception -- and loving it -- I'm amazed to say it just keeps getting better.

This isn't an awful podcast nor is it great. Sometimes the hosts don't take much a nuance approach to subjects. There are much better history podcast out there such as In Our Time, Dan Snow's History Hit and The Rest Is History.

This is my favorite podcast. History at its finest.

Description

How can the past help inform today’s most pressing challenges? Every Wednesday, award-winning historians Heather Cox Richardson and Joanne Freeman use their encyclopedic knowledge of US history to bring the past to life. Together, they make sense of the week in news by discussing the people, ideas, and events that got us here today. Now and Then is produced by CAFE and the Vox Media Podcast Network.
