Description

Women in WW2 at home in Britain had their lives turned upside down. Anna Parker-Naples shares her research and creative writing process as she creates her first novel based on events that happened in her home town Leighton Buzzard, Q-Central and nearby Bletchley Park. From the factory girls at Gossards who made the parachutes for Spitfires, to the Land Girls who fell in love with POW's and the WAAF's and WRN's billeted in the town alongside thousands of East End evacuees, Anna's intention is to share the bits that inspire her work, but may not get included in the final manuscript. As a writer on the prestigious Faber Academy writers course, Anna will share the journey from idea, to first draft, revisions, the search for an agent and traditional book publishing deal, and beyond. With interviews with fellow writers and established authors, and with historians who specialise in the Second World War. If you would like to follow this journey, go to www.annapn.co/ww2
