Spirit Brat is a raw, mystical memoir in podcast form, tracing how a series of unprompted and surreal spiritual experiences collided with real-life danger. It’s the story of how I navigated an undiagnosed dissociative disorder, by studying psychology, Buddhism, Hinduism, yoga, Catholicism, the LDS Church, and New Age beliefs (not in that order). This would ultimately prepare me for the unthinkable: surviving a coercive relationship with a Special Warfare veteran who later told me he hunted me.

This podcast isn’t just about what happened. It’s about my lack of reverence, and how the divine, in all its strange disguises, showed up in my life in spite of not only my beliefs, but in spite of what some of those religions believe about themselves and each other. Spirit Brat is where mystical awe meets psychological rigor, and where spiritual highs collide with the brutal clarity of survival.
