Description

Birds and Nature was a charming monthly publication by the Nature Study Publishing Company of Chicago, enchanting readers from 1897 to 1907. This delightful magazine featured a collection of short poems and vivid descriptions that celebrated birds, animals, and the beauty of the natural world, each accompanied by stunning color plates. Throughout its publication, it went through several title changes, including Birds, Birds and all Nature, Nature and Art, and ultimately settled on Birds and Nature. Notably, in June 1900, a brief title switch occurred before reverting to its beloved name in September of the same year, which remained until the end of its run. - Summary by J. M. Smallheer
